Unreal 4 Artist / Generalist for VR

SPINE is a post-production studio specializing in design-driven visual effects for 3D animation, renderings and interactive environments. We have worked with some of most innovative brands and designers in the industry to help bring their visions to life.

Our company’s fusion of artists, animators, architects, interior designers, and managers is the key to delivering successful digital solutions that are fresh, powerful and effective.

We are currently expanding our services for game engine based virtual reality experiences and are looking for talented 3D artists with experience in creating environments for Unreal 4.

Our work will has a focus on photorealism, so a high level of experience using Unreal 4’s shading and lighting system is a must.


Responsibilities

  • Model static environments in Max from existing concept art or architectural plans.
  • Design and model high-detail props and assets.
  • Design and create photorealistic textures and materials.
  • Assemble environments within Unreal 4.
  • Design photorealistic lighting within Unreal 4.
  • Develop some basic UI functionality with with existing toolkits.
  • Able to work independently or in small groups to troubleshoot and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to share learning and help build our development pipeline.
  • Work directly with us to turn around revisions and creative changes in a timely manner.
Requirements

  • Proficient in Unreal 4.
  • Expertise in lighting for Unreal 4
  • Proficient 3D modeling skills using Maya or Max for real-time environments.
  • Skilled in creating high-detail props with photorealistic textures and materials.
  • Proficiency in blueprint for Unreal 4.
  • Experience with architectural visualization is a plus.
  • Experience with VR.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
