[UDK]Tactical Assault

What is this?
Tactical Assault

TA (Tactical Assault) is a free standalone game based on the Unreal Development Kit technology that will focus on combining tactical gameplay with arcade style and speed; while utilizing the immense power of the UT3 Engine. The gameplay will be based on squad based team play like top first person shooters such as COD4, Counter Strike and TO:AoT, while still capturing the one man army feel of a Rambo Film! It will pit the Strike Force against Mercenaries in intense round based objectives and stunning scenarios. Tactical Assault offers a wide variety of modern weaponry and beautifully rendered maps. We are hard at work producing new maps that give the right feel for the game, they will reward team play while still allowing opportunities for individuals to shine and capture their glory. If you love action-packed first person shooters with great community involvement, then stay tuned.

We are back with another media release, and this time it’s all about the things that go BANG!
In order to push faster towards our first Beta release, we need a Experienced Weapon Animators with UDK knowledge and a Uscript coder to assist our lead coders.

We have been very busy the last few months concentrating on creating weapons, characters, and maps for our new shiny media page which has just gone live!

Matt Lefevere has done a great job in rendering our handful of approved weapons in a UDK Scene. No, these are not in 3ds Max, Marmoset, or touched up in Photoshop.

A semi-realistic shooter combining precise playing with fast action gameplay.



You will choose to play Tactical Assault because it's free, not made for the big marked and influenced by things that spoil the type of game that we want. Only infantry v.s. infantry.

After 10 years, Tactical Ops is still being played by allot of people on different versions. Allot of them are waiting for Tactical Assault. There will be a large community when the first Beta is released.

Our maps are well balanced and tested by Tactical Ops veterans.

The type of hitcount is verry unique and the weapons will be well balanced.

There will be dedicated servers.

There will be official matches.

Just test it :p

so the game mode will like UT2k4's assault ? with objectives and such ? or is it team deathmatch like counter strike ? the youtube videos showed a bit of both, i think.


I'm not trying to troll you, but I don't really see what we will do with these "bullet guns".

It's teamdeathmatch like Counterstrike. Also with objectives like hostage rescue, planting a bomb etc.

Why do these "dev teams" pop up like mushrooms
out of nowhere, when it comes to creating a yet
another tactical whatsoever mod, which
will be at best – if ever finished – just an another
counter strike clone?

Why is that so?!

Is it a natural phenomenon? Or is it just the
blunt lack of creativity?

But i like your post, its verry inspiring, im going to the forrest and look for some magic mushrooms. Mayb it will give us a creativity boost.

Thank you! You are perfectly understanding my point! After more than a decade merely nothing has changed. I see no innovation process at all. All you do is just a variation of a well know concept. So tell me; what is so creative about re-creating someone else's idea? Since when has blatant plagiarism been ever called creative? You should be ashamed! :eek:

There is already a successful product on the market, better known as the beloved Counterstrike.

What are the unique selling points of your product? Refreshed and re-textured models of the well known H&K MP5? :rolleyes:

Why do you and your "dev team", which you are so desperately trying to represent here, not instead use your talent, time and energy to actually create a new concept and flesh that out with new content, eventually aggregating a new and unique mod? I have no doubts that you do have very talented people in your team. But they are being misled!

If you and your team require additional help to achieve that level of understanding by consuming magic mushrooms, do not hesitate...

Matt and the team have really brought this level to life.
