It's sad that my local Best Buy is selling home computers with dual Geforce 6600's already I guess it really is the new standard for PC game enthusiasts. Imagine what the standard will be by the time UT2007 is released... probably 2 vid cards, dual widescreen flat-panel displays, a dual-core CPU, a physics processing card, 2GB RAM, dual 15k-rpm SATA drives in a RAID0 stripe, 10.1 or 12.1 audio (coming soon), etc. It's damn sickening.
Edit, btw I believe Gears of War is an Xbox exclusive only for 6 months, maybe less, and then it is coming to PC. Or did that change?
otang said:i doubt it, as g4tv continually states that the ps3 is far more superior than the 360, even spec. wise. they have also stated that the 360 has no innovations and is only a higher end of present technology, unlike the ps3 with its blue ray thing-a-majigger and its two $500-a-piece grafix cards. i'm still rooting for xbox to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

PS3 is going to once again pwn xbawk2 at everything there is to offer. But to say that it's un-inovative is crap. Everything the PS3 has, you can get now. You can buy Blue-Ray discs at BestBuy. The only thing the PS3 has that you can't get yet is the PhisX card.

if it continues like this, then you need 4 cores, maby 3 gfx cards
and 4GB memory to run an UE 3 game.
oh well, with a machine that strong, you can make your own pixar movie's.
Do you suppose we'll have more "omg, the Vietnamese and Chinese are buying PS3s to make weapon guidance systems." news reports? The Jackal-XMP said:....anyways, the PS3 is expected to be the most power thing out there, aside from a super computer.
The Xbox, as far as I can tell, is still based on current PC architecture, just like the last one (the last one was basically a pc with a proprietory file system and OS). The PS3 however is using that fancy cell chip, which means taking on a whole new angle in terms of processing. I'd say it's far more innovative than the xbox. The Jackal-XMP said:Yes, trust G4TV....the Computer channel that changed into MTV with Xplay added. No inovations? 9ghz isn't an inovation?
