Someone make a chart that shows the growth of your projects and a projection of how large your trebuchets will be in three months!

hehe, I think this will be my last (at least largest). Anything bigger would require a hell of a lot more work.

I have no idea at all what to expect with this one, but I hope to get about 100yds... no idea what I will throw.

hehe, would you believe that I have two? They obviously were not filling my trebuchet building needs ;).

This is mostly a weekend and after hours hobby.

Jeremy, how tall it it to the axle? By the looks of it your main supports and the axle light be too small. Ours used 6x6"s as supports and a 2.5" pipe for the axle. Our arm broke with about 450lbs. of ballast. It was 3 2x4"s in an "I-beam" formation. Just a heads up:)

The axel is about 5' 6". I am using a single 2x4" on each side, but they are hemlock rather than pine (I assume that is what you used). I am using a 3/4" metal rod as the axel (different than in the pic). Should be at lest as strong as a pipe, and the hole in the supports are smaller.

The arm is a 2x4" with two more 2x4"s on each side continuing about half way out the arm.

I only expect to use about 300 pounds of counterweight and throw smallish objects. But who knows.
