I bet Inf for ut2k4 is going to get a huge community. I hope the team releases a fine mod not too long after ut2k4 is out then it'll get the attention it deserves. And probably the good/bad crowd to go with it.
The only reasons that the 2.9 community is 'small' imo is that it's a late release for an aged engine and that it's a gamemode that defies run&gun playing.
Playing as a team kicks ass and its a shame i dont see it enough.

Unfortunately, you cannot judge quality of a game by the number of people that play it. This is especially true of a game that has not been mass marketed, but that is besides the point.

I could care less if all the servers are full 24/7 or not. All I care about is that I can enjoy playing Infiltration with those I've become aquainted with. As long as the {GD} server is full of our friends having a good time together, (which it is quite often) I'm happy.

Yeah. So long as The Usual Suspects (you know who you are ) are around I couldn't care less whether or not we have thousands of players.

Not counting names that pop up and disapear But players who play long enough to be ranked

Who actually gives a **** if it's 1263 or 1358 "ranked players"? All I care about is if I'm able to play the game and have fun. I'm not going to play against those 1358 ranked players at the same time anyway. What we should be doing is get on the servers and play the game we all enjoy. Well, unless it's more fun staying here nitpicking numbers of these "ranked players" of course.

I really dont care if theres thousands of players. When I play the server is usually full, and theres no *******s online, minus the morons who pop in to start crap once in a blue moon like OwlofDoom (BTW owl we got your IP and you are now banned from GD).

I have NEVER seen this much dev going on for INF. From new weapons and voices, to crap loads of maps in dev, not to mention all the active threads in the dev forum. The dev forum is almost as popular as the OT forum!

I think if the SS team ever wants INF to be popular among the masses they are gonna have to release INF2k4 within 1 year of its release. If they can pull that off, then I can only see INF exploding. Although I dont want that to happen, I too like quality over quantity, I must see it from the SS point of view... Lots of players = possible BIG $$$. So I wish and hope that it does become popular. Maybe then someone can arrive to dethrone Duke.

Honest question, not meant to stir up the hornet's nest: How long would it take for the team to make INF for ut2k4? It took a few years for 2.9, and from what I've read it doesn't seem like the team has started any earnest effort towards another platform yet.

Well I Never stopped even in the last months of 2.86 i was still playing almost every night
As was a good portion of my clan

Ive been actively playing Infiltration for the last 3 years solid
Even when MANY of you were no-were to be seen on the servers
So no worrys about me playing I Never stopped

I aint and never have been a part time Infer Ive played on publics almost every night
Ive posted on Inf related Forums almost Every day
Ive pumped out many Infiltration media files

I have lived Infiltration So u wont easy find a more dedicated player then me
So chill out a bit huh .. Im expressing opinions and thoughts ..Maybe im wrong maybe im right But no matter if im right or wrong .. Im Dedicated and always have been

Only thing about if inf would get huge and popular ala cs & co would be that then if I'd get unempolyed I could move to south Korea and become a professional infiltration player with big brands sponsoring me and my clan And if my wife left me I would have a jolly good time to pick out some cute asian gal from the crowd of fans waiting in line to get my autograph.

Yesterday I was playing and on the server were around 5-12 players. Was better with more players but even with only one team mate it was great. Had some good matches

Spier, just a family sedan, nothing too special. Volvo S40 Classic 2.0T. One of the last ones to be made as it is the "old" model and not the new S40. Something like 160hp, so not anything you'll racing in but should get me to work and back comfortably. As it is a classic model, it comes with more or less all accessories you could ask for. Now I know why the slogan goes "Volvo for life"...you freaking pay for the thing the rest of your life.

i blame some of the inf players for not playing , theires less and less people, and people who are here play only once a week. its 16h17 euro time and nobody's here ? wtf ? you are all diplomats or business mens ? i dont think so. some people dont play on afternoon so people dont play on afternoon cause people dont play on afternoon

Well I don't get home from work until 6pm, which is 7pm euro time, so I tend to hit the servers late evening, and often find at least one full server. I have to admit I've been working late a lot recently though, so have being playing less inf than I'd like. I'd love to spend all my time on the servers, but I have rent to pay
