I like 1 shot redeemer destroying nodes, because it rewards people for going balls out kamikaze, and it's preventable by either shooting down the deemer, stopping someone from getting close to the node or covering redeemer spanws. Redeemer spawns are usually put in a desolate place on the map, anyways. Nodes can be reset just by simply running over them and they come and go so frequently in a game I don't see the problem.

Worse than rox duds are tank duds. You're battling another Goliath at full health, and you lose because one of your shots is a blank.

I think the shots actually pass THROUGH the Goliath, which is even more weird. :hmm: I've lost to my bots durring several Goliath fights due to this, on-line as well. My aim will be perfect, but it just shoots out the other side of the vehical.

And what is with bots in the Goliath aiming between 90 and 180 degrees away from you, but shooting a round right at you and killing you? Can you say cheet?

It seems bots don't always face where they shoot. Watch them in turrets especially.

What happens when you're dueling a Goliath offline is that your aim gets thrown off as you are hit. I'm not sure if it affects bots, but they always beat me by hitting me just as I'm about to fire. I haven't actually noticed this happening online. Just that I shoot and nothing comes out.

with the redeemer issue, my only nagging problem (not overly worried) is the damage it should take before blowing up, imo, something like 70 (an lg shot, rox, 2-3 link or shock) as it is 1 shock primary takes it out, and with the time it takes to respawn, its no longer a 'omfg run away hide or we'll die', its a 'rofl noob, think im scared of that, take this'

unless the player with it is very creative in guiding or does it straight into the ground

btw, hi all u BuF'ers, good to be back

Nah it's fine with one shot to kill. but for some reason I remember it being harder to hit in UT99. Of course I was a noob then too, so, yeah :p. I would be pissed if they made the deemer feel like a vehical like in strangelove. Those things take forever to kill, esp with their speed.

And WB, though I don't think I was a member of this forum then :p.

Heh, Actually, I think the redeemer was subject to the same "player scale" issues that made people harder to hit in general. I always thought it was much tougher to deal with in 2kx. I still think to this day, I haven't shot a single one down on antalus.

If anything ONS maps it's easier because of all the open air space they usually have to traverse.

I think it's "hit points" should be proportional to how hard it is to hit. In UT it was cake. They could have easily had more hp there. I also think that would be gametype specific.
