The best weapon, at least in UT, is the impact hammer. Combine hammering skillz with the disgraced mod and then you have the formula for fun!

There is absolutely nothing better in UT than to smear someone with one when they think they have the upper hand with a projectile weapon. Now THAT is an adrenaline rush!

I liked the Pipe Bombs in DukeNukem. Lay 'em out by a video camera, and kill your enemies, from afar, when they try to pick them up. Hehehe

Also, I had the most fun with the origianl Plasma Gun from Doom/Doom2.

I had totally forgotten about ROTT. That was a great game except for the vomitorium. And yeh, the drunken missles were bloody good; so was the heat seeker.

The redeemer is a stupid weapon in my opinion, it doesn't require skill at all. The best weapon for me? I don't know...

My favorite weapon was the HyperBlaster from Quake2. They really screwed it up in Q3 and turned it into the snowball gun.

It had a tremendous rate of fire, and a great sound... The pulse gun is sorta like it, but the rate of fire is way too slow.

They didn't screw it up in Q3. They completly left it out! The Plasma gun in Q3 is supposed to be a re-issue of the original plasma gun from Doom. Forgot about the Hyper-Blaster. That was a good one!

Worst weapon? Q3 railgun. How boring and ugly was that. The Q2 one was soooo pretty with that lil' blue trail. I was sorely disappointed, iD!

Yes, but there's always the corkscrew (instagib) mod for q3, and the railtrail is waaay cooler then the original q3 one.
But q3 sucks

The FireWall in ROTT was a kick@## weapon.
The Redeemer IS a kick@## weapon.

Classic weps for me are the Q2 SuperShotGun, Duke3D DevistatorD), Wolf RPG, and Unreal MiniGun.

The StreetSweeper in Q2 WoD was a monster, along with the "whatever Grenade your carrying" TripWires.

But my all time favorite wep, because it was so powerful and unique(and the one that got the most whining when used) has to be the Q2 BFG10K. THAT was one cool wep. The BFG20K in U4eT is a VERY close second.

Best Weapon?

I am very sad that you people can forget some of the classic console FPS games that me me a fan. I would have to say that without a doubt the Chronosceptor from the Original Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter was a genious invention. For one, It does all the damage that the redeemer does without the hassle of killing yourself. Now as for the overall coolest weapon; Well I would like to direct your attention the the Razor-Type Boomerang found in Turok 2. I mean, It looks badass, you clip heads clean off of your enemies, unlimited ammo, and when you throw it it comes back with gibs on it!

Rainman, played TUrok a few days ago No way, I like the Fusion Cannon WAY better! Look up at the clear sky and fire it and watch the light show. It's AWESOME! For a 64 game. And if u want the damage without killing yerself, just use the instagiB rifle It does redeemer damage too ANyway, I do really think the impact hammer is the best. It's VERY powerful, it's VERY useful, for telepunting and hammer jumping, and deflecting shots, and it's got an original concept.
