Ha, you are having about as much fun trying to play these maps as I had putting them together (as in no fun;)). It's in one of the UT bonus packs. And all for 5 maps.

Bloodhawk, check out what mat69 previously posted. He has some help on that issue. I'm not sure why it does that. It is an official UT texture, so it should be in your UT texture folder. Like mat points out, just remove it from your INF folder if it is there. The map will fall back on the one in the UT folder.

Sorry. Did not explain correctly.
I think this false SGTech1.utx comes with an INF-Map, where it's creator only used a few textures of this package and so did not want to add the whole texturepack, but still named it the same way.

Well Spooger's link doesn't work either. The link didn't work because I needed a capital letter back when the link would have worked. I believe that that extra file was uploaded to combatmaps.de, so their DL should be all you need including that UT bonus packs as well. Here the working link at the moment. It's a huge DL, and the maps are average at best. So check out screenshots before DLing;)

Mebbe this is a stoopid question, but I had previously dl/d the original version of the SAS ack, and after about 2 weeks of beating my head against the monitor finally got them to work in Inf. As a matter of fact, we had them running on the +BB+ server for a time and had a lot of fun on most of them.

What's the conversion entail exactly, because some of the files I see ppl having problem with now were similar files that I had trouble with. What's different (ingame), is nothing different, or is thus a complete conversion of specific files to make them more compatible?

I realize this is a n00b question, but I don't understand. Prease exprain. :D

I just converted the map files. I didn't touch the textures or anything else to prevent version mismatches. But there were so many other files that they still conflicted with other ones out there. Not much I could do there.

I wanted to just tweak the botpathing and make it so you could use the grab key and spawn together. But the maps needed WAY more work, and I even had to rebuild geometry on a few of them. I ended up redoing a lot of lighting as well, and added blockalls to better reflect the decorations. I also added a few INF decos to add some more cover and clutter for the maps. I could go on all day about what I did, but honestly I want to forget all about it. I'm just glad it is over with, and I won't do it again.

Will these maps work for EAS and Specialist game modes?

Nope. They are only DM and DOM I believe. And I won't convert them to EAS.
