If anybody using Blackbox could tell me why my application windows still use the terrible windows xp look, it would be much appreciated.

blackbox handles the desktop, not the windowsdesign, as bb4win isn't a windowmanager like on *nix.

I have this problem....why is it then whenever i install blackbox or lifestep, i couldnt seem to access to my internet connection? lifestep particularly, i couldnt click on an icon and highlight it...blackbox is just screwing with everything...user error..i know. what am i doing wrong?

I have no idea what is going on with your shell installs. I myself am lacking experience...at least with problems like that. Any problems I get I can usually tool around with in config files. Sorry.

For wallpapers, please....please! Go to They always have amazing abstract wallpapers posted daily. You will LOVE it.

Winamp Skin...Obviously from Winamp.com. I currently use Venus. I then set it to Always on Top (Ctrl-A), and I then set the transparency to about 30-40%. I then I set it to Opaque on Focus. That way I always see it, but it never gets in the way unless I select it. w00t!

And Litestep! Isotanium Skin. Delicious.

I must be the only person who thinks XP looks quite nice on it's own.

I have all my icons set up nicely at the bottom, and my keyboard has lots of extra keys at the top for winamp and stuff.

I tried Litestep before, twice actually, and never liked it. Most of the themes are just too minimalistic for me. That and the fact that when you try and uninstall LiteStep, Windows programs stopped working properly, so I was forced to reformat and install Windows again.

A warning: LiteStep isn't just some program like ThemeXP, it actually replaces your Explorer shell. Be careful, is all.
