That black camo

A simple poll, really. I think that the black camo should be removed from most if not all servers since it gives such a big advantage. I have nothing against dark camo's, as long as both camo's are about just as dark (I saw this one map in which it was white vs black...).
So server admins and INF-ers alike, vote. And hopefully, playing online might end up being just a bit more fun soon

bah, such a silly mistake in the poll question. Obviously, I mean "Do you think that the black camo should be used online?"

In many ways I agree with you, Rostam. In certain maps the black camo gives you a huge advantage, especially if you are sitting still in a dark area. The reason for the advantage is of course that there is no other camo that can match the black one in terms of camoflage, again, in certain maps. Instead of removing it alltogether though, if the server admins would use it (more) wisely, I still think it has a place in the game.

black vs white is not bad in EAS if it's chosen carefully (ex: to balance a map too easy to attack or defend).

As for TDM/DTAS I like having _fair_ camos (ex: black vs dark blue)

only thing wrong with the black camo is that it is a no-brainer
with other patterns i have to glance behind me to make sure im not outlining my light-tan camo against a dark-red fuel tank or something but with black you just stick to shadows, kind of like how with Woodland you just stick to Peru.

but yeah, a good camo matched with the map will expand your options for picking concealed routes, so admins should try to keep it balanced, or failing at that, keep it interesting.

It's called 'patterning.' It's a part of objective vision that looks for things that are out of place based on memory. It comes with knowing the map or staring at a certain area for awhile.

Maybe both teams should have black camo. That'd be a fun match. Arm everyone with shotguns and you're looking at a good time.

Actually, one of the DTAS servers pre-2.9 had Killhouse with both teams sporting Arctic camos. It was really quite entertaining, as well as a good exercise in "fire control." (as Bushie described it ... I don't think such a thing exists)

Well, I'll tell you one thing - it would force teams to stick together, move slowly, and communicate.................ah hell, screw that, Arctic v. Black every map. (and on night maps I get to stay in black. )

Why not woodland vs russian tan or something? Remember one server during 2.85.3 having that camo setting on Sicily. For that map atleast, it was perfect.
