Only seeing people on TDM server the last times I launched INF makes me creating this poll. Many people here say that they want to play EAS or whatever now I want to see how many of them are there (browsing Infiltration Online ;) ). So that is easier possible to make EAS/DTAS/TDM nights and prevent people leaving INF because of the lack of populated servers running their favorite gamemode.

Mat

PS.:If the options of the poll are stupid feel free to tell me. ;)
PPS.: EAS is on top of the list because it is the newest gamemode ...

I love EAS. After gradually playing games other than INF, I seem to have lost interest in taking utmost care of my own life in DTAS and then playing with my cat until the next round after I die. Especially when my cat is asleep. But very rarely do people work together, they usually (including me) just run up to the flag and kill everyone from behind.

TDM can be extremely fun because the rounds can end quickly, and it brings back some of the good ol' run-n-gun we all loved. It can be annoying on the occasional large maps where the last two players circle around the map never to find each other, but what really bothers me is the lack of new maps. I'm sick of playing flagstaff, we need some new small CQB or open maps made for TDM.

Thus, EAS would have to be my favorite since the team usually uses communication, the greatest aspect of infiltration there is. That and knowning that if you die, you do have a few extra lives to back you up. :)

I experienced a funny thing: Playing on NA Servers is more fun for me, ignoring the bad ping.
Yesterday I played TDM on an Euro and it wasn't any fun for me than I switched to SG TDM (I even wasn't sure if I should play INF because I'm not a TDM fan) and there it was fun. I think that the people on those servers play different in general so on SG there are less Nadespammers I think. :)

I dont have anything against EAS per say, other than the lack of new maps for this gametype, i play TDM, because thats where the most people are at as of late. DTAS was what i started my online INF experience with, so its well loved.
Mappers, give us some new EAS mappage, pweeez?

You will find that gamestyle is different on SG because they run Random Team Spawns. You dont have guys automatically pull the pin on a nade and run for the choke points and start lobbing nades back and fourth. RTS keeps you more on your toes and eliminates some of the repetition.

In TDM you'll play with your cat a lot more than in DTAS, because there's no specific place that everybody try to get to.
The only reason for me EAS>DTAS is that dtas has too much advantage for defenders (especially with the 2 players required for attack to win), but they're nearly equal because I do like the "1 life only" and the fact that reinforcements cause the team to split up (as even with spawn waves not all the team spawns together).

Tough call. I'd probably put EAS and DTAS on a par, but I think EAS would have the edge given a few more and more random maps. Not to mention the endless hours spent developing DTAS, and then the endless hours worrying that I've not done any DTAS development.

Sterno I didn't see it that way, that's it. :)
Did anyone of you play on the server of 121st, I mean on the server where they have EAS with only one respawn, people wrote that it is fun. Any experiences here?

Yeah mat i played it yesterday. And i have to say that it is much fun if the maps are not too big! The teamplay is much more demand than on normal EAS, cause if u are dead u bring your team a disatvantage.

I've played dtas every night last week on sg and there was at least 8 players each time. Yesterday too there were about 16 people there, it usually fills up around 11pm (GMT+1). So you see that not only tdm is played, you just have to know when to play.

Wellllllllll.. I was liking EAS with only 2 lives per side. But whiners got rid of that. Duke and any others, I would be more than willing to donate up to 10+ hours a week to help you develope any new EAS maps to the best of my abilities. I am slowly finishing EAS-INF-Taps with my brother, as we work on it here and there. I think my brother was turned off by the amount of inane *******s circulating the forums so hes not that enthusiastic about making maps. But I try to get his ass in gear...

Back on topic, I must say I love all 3 equally. No choice for that though. I like EAS because its the best mode for team play when on TS and with your clan. I like DTAS cause its more random than EAS and you only have one life. So if I shoot that ****er in the head he aint coming back like a torpedo for me to remove his head again. Plus you gotta love some of the older maps with DTAS :) I also like TDM cause its a chance to prove how much ass you kick as an individual. This is probobly the #1 reason most people hate TDM, cause it constantly reminds them how much they suck  But its all good and fun! For me ;)

Correction: People hate TDM because it's a constant reminder of how much other FPS games suck.

Things like: Getting ghosted by your own team because you're not rushing around like an idiot (you're "camping"). Getting strafe-killed by the shotgun from 50ft.

Yes, TDM certainly is a gem...

I am happily playing Ground Control. Everytime I check in, I see only the DTAS servers though. I'll just keep waiting until EAS becomes popular again. It seems to have it's high and low periods.

The problem with TDM is that the best way to win is to camp, while camping will never end the game, so to end the game u must not play the best way possible.
On DTAS and EAS, you have to attack when on assault or you will lose to time running out - waiting for enemy to come to you will not be a good strategy here.
Also on big maps with TDM u can wander around forever looking for the enemy.

Exactly.

Also, saying that you like TDM to prove you are #1 is kinda dumb. The scoreboard can be set up for any gametype. I have played EAS with it before.

No, its not dumb. Reason being is that in EAS or DTAS your concerns should reside with defending or assaulting an objective. Not straight out murdering other people...
