there seems to be a lot of unknown people throwing given names around these days .....
gang up on morons like that, purposely Tk them in return and get your whole team behind you in doing it if there isnt an admin to do it for you

@ Exar, unfortunately for me i havent had the pleasure of playing on INForcers server, my ping is fairly high on there, so it prohibits me having much fun
As a former server admin, the problem with the F2 button announcements is that you usually 1} dont have time to look at them and read them before you spawn 2} a new person isnt going to KNOW to look there at all 3} new people mostly havent RTFM

Lately, there are individuals playing under pseudonyms with the intent of playing badly on purpose, a simple IP track/ban by a server admin would do the trick permanently Thats why i suggest a Server ettiquet sticky on these forums .

whats more annoying is the others players who dont mind clicking on 2 menus to kick a Tker, who dont answer , who dont care about you being tked... their attitude is as childich and stupid as the tker.

next time KICK the intentional tkers. dont let them play just because they didnt TKed YOU. who ever said that this community was that great ?

Sorry for the delay -- I think I was playing in that game.

I saw you complain about being TK'd and asking for the guy to be kicked, and then I saw the guy who did it make some form of apology.

I'm afraid I didn't vote to kick because (a) I always TK accidentally, and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, (b) he appeared to be truly in error and apologetic, and (c) like others have said, I wasn't able to keep track of all the chat due to playing the game.

With hindsight, sure I should have voted to kick, but it's not easy -- some people get so annoyed at being TK'd accidentally (with apology) that they will also ask for people to be kicked (wrongly in my view). I'm sure we've also seen people accuse other people of cheating and totally lose it (again wrongly) because of one of Inf/UT's bugs (i.e. a blockall in the way or hillbugging, etc). And then there are those people who are so good that the only possible explanation at the time appears to be that they're also cheating

In short, I take it with a pinch of salt when people complain about cheating, etc on servers, because usually it's not correct. In this occasion I was wrong, and I offer my apologies... (that said, in my view it is tolerance under adversity, rather than being swift to exclude people, which makes this community great).

But yes, make sure everyone is aware of it and can log/track such activity...

In a situtation like this and someone asks for a kick I always check to see who is making the request. Someone I know such as Bush, Vega, Fat etc I won't hesitate. I doubt they would make such a request over nothing. Others I would check to see what's going on.

In any situation I always try to take the person into account and use common sense.

Some of you guys may not know this, but 2.9's WebAdmin logs the last 32 player's IP's to make it easier to ban people. You no longer need to catch them in the act (Even though it was fun as hell with Derelan ). So, if you contact the admin relatively quickly, chances are, these people can be dealt with.

on the [-I-] Inforcers server this morning, as well as on several other servers, i noticed that some people are starting to use the original ut voices, such "our base is uncovered"
Its funny at first but gets increasingly annoying, also are the outside walls of Frozen meant to be shot through? i was claymoring the entrance way when i keep getting shot through the wall by people, and this morning, the Frozen EAS game turning into spray and pray as people were shooting through walls "hoping" that they could hit somone one.

could somebody please clarify this?

I love that element in Frozen. Makes the game exciting to see a bullet whip by your head. There are parts upstairs that you can hide and a bullet cant get you. Its only a research facility you know, not a bomb shelter.

but then round ends, you attack , you kill through walls and you find it great

the base is very difficult to enter it , so its cool for balance , and i think it may be realistic to randommly shoot at a building to hope to kill the ennemy (happens IRL i saw the americans doing in afghanistan or in IRAK ) . i just dont know if the artic bases have light walls. i guess so because the bases a pre-made then shipped...

Update & bump : Some dumbass, going by the name of "ButtFlakes", found it fun to team kill 2 or 3 people at spawn, on MuF. Watch it if he's on your team. It might have been just some venting, so you may give him the benefit of doubt, but be cautious. Just a heads-up.

Twice now I've been TK'd by people who immediately reconnected (seems to wipe out the TK symbols) or immediately disconnected, respectively, without any comment or apology.

I've forgotten the names in question, and I'm prepared to believe the TKs themselves were accidental, but that sort of behaviour rubs me up the wrong way...

A player by the name of Intrepid got all pissed that I was killing him a lot on Araboutpost. So next round he switchs to my team so that he can intentionally TK me (it was definately not an accident). After this he disconnects.

Next map, a player joins on my team with a name I have never seen before. As we spawn he runs over to me and TKs me, then disconnects.

Next map, a name I haven't seen before immediately TKs me (and only me) as we spawn. then disconnects.

Next map, same thing but he doesn't disconnect. I call him out on it and tell peeps to votekick him, but he plays dumb like he didn't mean to TK me and knows nothing about TKing me on the last 3 maps.

So, if you see the name Intrepid be warned.

Nope. I didn't do anything wrong. The point at which he got really mad at me was when I was standing near the CD on Araboutpost, and I shot him while he was coming out of his spawn. That is perfectly legit.

Haven't gotten upset about really anyone online..but you keihas One time you spawnkilled me to oblivion multiple times on chemicalthreat and it almost killed the fun for me. Luckily nowadays there are more than one server available.
Oh and some newbies used the f word at me. Sure, I tked him but who asked him to rush all the way towards the enemy when on defence...

Yesterday there was the same situtuation, a player named INF_Player entered the game, killed teammates all the time in the spawn. I cant say how many tk it were cause i was in the other team, but obviously the other Team lost too maps cause of that Teamkiller, but nobody kicked him, even after 5 Tks not
Thats not funny for the teammates and the other team, cause they sit and defense, nut nobody comes cause of TKs.
Ask [101st]_Lich he was on with me.
