Well, let's see.

  • nVidia GeForce GTX 285
  • 2x 1.5 TB Seagate 7200 RPM Hard Drives

  • 23" Samsung Monitor that pulls 2048x1152 (delivered next Monday)

  • Some Dual-Link DVI cables for said monitor
  • And possibly 1-2 other things I'm forgetting slightly right now.
All for about $1,240 USD. The GTX was a steal, especially... $280 after instant rebates, $250 after a $30 mail-in rebate. And it came with Call of Duty: World at War gratis.

I paid $109.42 for my GTX 285.

ah ... I didn't find this thread, but here it is again.
Time to show my ride (again) :

Scorpion_fs_ruby_red_3_small.jpg

Specs :
= make : HP Velotechnik
= model : Scorpion FS
= type : full-suspension folding(!) tricycle recumbent
= front suspension : adjustable McPherson struts (as used in cars apparently)
= 27 gears, dual-drive
= 'parking break' for rearwheel
= chipped Axa Defender lock + chain
= lights : dynamo-driven Busch&Muller IQ Fly plus up front
= tyres : 20" Schwalbe Marathon Racer
= rack (for up to 25 Kg luggage) & fenders
= custom colour : ruby red (RAL 3003)
= cost : let's just say someone else would either have bought a used car or the latest pc with an Intel i7 and whatever graphicscard is hot these days ... ;)

Did I mention it is fun ?

Most recent addition for my bike is a RAM-mount for my current GPSr (a Garmin Colorado 300)

This motherboard can't handle the 45nm Quads, sadly. I had wanted a Q9450. It can do 45nm Duals, however, thus the E8400. Probably better in the long run anyway, I don't run much apps that need more than two cores.

Getting a 65nm Quad wouldn't be much of a step up, either, due to the lower per-core cache, lower clocks, and lack of SSE4.1, all of which the E8400 has.
I paid $109.42 for my GTX 285.
Now that I call bull**** on. Show me a receipt.

Change of plans, I'm getting the Ninja 250R 2009 blue model instead.

Step up program from EVGA. I paid $169.99 for my GTX 260 (the old 65mm one) after $20 instant newegg savings and $30 mail-in rebate. My step up for GTX 285 was only $109.42

Mine is better.
...
but mine is faster (and better looking and more expensive and more fun ) ...
40 Km/h is my best topspeed measured so far, haven't got any hills on my route so I'm not sure how fast I really dare to go if I get the opportunity.

- Rome: the entire boxset for a mere 10 € (instead of 45)

 How?
And you won't regret that purchase, even if it was full price. Awesome show, and the special features are great. Make sure you listen to the commentaries with James Purefoy.
(Blackadder's fantastic too - the first series ain't so hot though)
