Girls seem to love crappy pop music too.

Just because girls like it, doesn't make it good.

Well most girls seem to like the chivarlistic aspects of Twilight. The whole aspect that the man saves the woman, there's some conflict that both the guy and girl find someone to set aside their differences in order to resolve the conflict -- ultimately to be in love with each other successfully.

Yes, it's cheesy in the movie (and that's possibly how the director wanted it to appeal to women). But it's still something that a lot of women like, and if a guy hates Twilight, it's like "OMG WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM DUDE" from the woman's perspective.. Least in my experience.

At one point you're going to have to utilize chivalry to your advantage yourself.

Uh from what I heard the guy's a fair prick to the girl and it basically plummets downhill into a fangirly wankfest over a 'hot guy', with flawed characters and shallow development.

But hey, chivalry, whatever.

Actualy... I think I'd quite respect a guy that dosent like twilight. Watch and read what you like but well I found it kind of... creepy and not in a nice walking though graveyard creeepy way. It's like watching a train crash it's terible but you cant pull your eyes away from creepy guy and girl falling for creepy guy and ruining her life.

I just found it really easy to read and get into, and tons of girls here always talk to me about it. Just kinda grew on me, I guess.

You managed to get though it even with the sparkely vampires. Thats well thats impressive. Just wate till you read the bit in the later books where Bella gives birth to the half demon quick grow baby. If you dont put the book down after that you will truely read anything.

And I bought a new gameing mouse and keyboard.

My boss (a dude) is reading through the series for the lulz. I might have to borrow the books from him so I can get in on the terrible writing action.

Seriously, everytime I hear about that birthing scene (apparently it takes half the book), I get mental images of the demon child punching his way out of her uterus with the rage of a thousand suns and leaving her in bloody tatters.

And I giggle.
