Yes, 666 can indicate evil, if that is the context in which you want to use it. While it is not exactly 100 percent clear, at least to me, 666 is the "mark of the beast" in some fashion.

If I may quote a small passage out of God's word concerning this - not preaching or anything - simply for reference.

Revelations 13:18 (NIV) says this about 666: "This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast for it is man's number. His number is 666."

Granted that passage is pretty tough. It says it takes wisdom (not intelligence) and insight to calculate the number and it is man's number. Pretty cryptic and I cannot claim to know the answer.

Some people claim it is numerology (although God speaks against that) and some think it is ASCII values of a name. Only God knows for certain at this point.

Makes for interesting debates though!
