Those of us (formerly) in the restaurant business refer to one-handed communication as "going to Arby's".
The reference could almost be an urban legend... but I will relate it as told by my friend;
The female employee sitting in the drive thru window at Arby's noticed that a man (about 5 cars back in line) was shaking noticably as he sat in line.
He seemed calm enough, so she took no further notice of it until he pulled up to place his order... at which point she noticed that he seemed to have some problems speaking.
Because she couldn't understand him, she asked that he pull up and place his order at the window.
Concerned that he might be having a heart attack or seizure, she leaned out the drive-thru window and was about to ask him if he was alright, when she noticed why he was shaking...
Mortified, she slammed the drive-thru window closed as the man began placing his order...
I'm going to assume that you all
know what he was doing, and I won't have to explain anything.
