Personaly I've been playing TDM on LAN for four years now, and none of us ever get disatisfied.
We set 32 minutes per round, 8 reinforcements and no last player timer, everyone is aware that winning is achieved by eliminating the oposition and by staying alive... So we practice a very cautious playstyle, and because of the 32 minutes per round, none is tempted to rush unless one wants to spend the three remaining quarters of gametime spectating.
However it's definitely uncorrect to compare TDM with LMS, the point of hidding in LMS is when you're facing more than one oponent, in INF TDM there's only two teams, so that's like there's only one oponent and because victory relies on the elimination of the oposition, there aren't 36 ways to do it, you've got to engage the enemy cuz unlike LMS, no one will do it for you.
