So.. It wasn't just me?

Turns out I wasn't the only one that had problems with UT3? I just picked it up again after 2 years free of video games (thats another story..the best story ever), and I have had some fun, but it still seems weird and it looks like alot of other people feel the same way true?

I was stoked to show up randomly on FragBu, but alas, it's a goner.. I'm a little bummed. Admittedly I have to convince myself that UT3 isn't quite the same as UT2k4. It's almost way different, in feel and what not.. But it wasn't just me right?

it wasn't just you that had a problem with the game being different, just as UT2004 was different from UT?

Apparently not.

I think in this new "generation" of games, it got a bit overlooked.

When the demo first came out, it was a big change from the UT2004 feel. Looking back, I see a big part of it was the hardware requirements. You really needed at least the recommended setup. Players with the best hardware do have a slight advantage over those playing on slower or older machines.

But, as different as the movement and certain weapons were, it did not take long for me to get oriented to UT3. What did take a long while was the learning curve on movement, tactics, and aim. Everyone is different, some players are just faster than others. After playing this game for 3 years now, that has not changed. The faster players are still faster, and they always will be, but I have narrowed the gap a bit.
