Six degrees of Don Knotts - for Morety

I haven't been around long enough to understand Morety's predilection for the Andy Griffith Show and Don Knotts, but after reading his recent post about pooping to the theme song, I had a startling recollection: I have a connection to Don Knotts !

I was the quarterback of my high school football team (BFD -I was the only one that could remember the plays) and the coach of our team, who's son, by the way, was the center, was from West Virginia. He (coach) attended West Virginia University and guess who his roomate was - that's right - Barney Fife (Coach said he was strange).

So there you have it - at the beginning of every offensive play my High School football team ran, I had my hands in the butt of the son of the man that roomed with Don Knotts in College !

I challenge anyone to establish a more impressive connection to this cultural icon (Don Knotts, of course)

I once saw some documentary of "Three's Company". Behind the scenes interviews and stuff. Everyone on the set said that Don was the biggest womanizer they had ever met. He always had hot babes hanging around. I figure he had been on a hit TV show before, so he knew exactly how to cash in on it.
