Server question

If I have two servers that are an exact duplicate of each other (basically a copy/paste), and I rebuild the MD5 list for one, will that same list work on the other server? I'd think it would, but some people are telling me no.

hmm. should, but i would do a rebuild on both, just to make sure it works properly.

I'm asking this as the other one is a remote server and I CAN'T do a rebuild there..

oh... it shoudl work no problem,, but you need to be able to restart the server manually

im not quite sure what your saying.

if u cant rebuild on 1 server then you should rebuild on the 1 u can rebuilt on then copy the packages.md5 over to the remote server.

Heh. We'll never know, cause I don't have write permissions on the server's packages.md5..

u shouldant need it if you have ftp access just delete and replace it with the one you can rebuild on.
