Before anyone else decides to react, I'll say one thing. The INF team is still there. They are still working on it, day and night. They are as tired as everyone else about the time it's taken to finish this game, and they want to get it out probably more than anyone. I'll say it again: They are still working on it, day and night. As you so eloquently put it, they have updated their news page regularly ( Sure, it's a month between posts, but at least they're regular about it
). Not much to say other than "found and fixed another bug. Found and fixed another bug..." ad nauseum.
What's painful is when people find it funny, or mock, or decide they know all the reasons why infiltration hasn't been released when they don't ever stick around here. Yes it's hard to wait. Yes, it's painful. Yes it's been two years. However: the simple fact is the team is there, they're working hard at fixing things, and they have been doing it for the last two years. Give them some slack.
And just before someone says it, let me address something. Some people say that they don't owe us anything, it's a free project on their own time. However, that's not really true. They promised a new version, and they promised it would be bug free. They owe us a new version, and they owe it to us that after all this waiting, all this time, that it better god-damn well be bug free. The team has been fighting day and night for the last two years to do just that. You know what? They will deliver on that promise. NOT ONCE did they give a release date. They gave estimates. They gave possibilities. They overestimated. Guess what: it happens. Live with it.
They owe us infiltration, and they owe it to us to have it done perfect. I couldn't ask for anything more than that.
However, in return, they've only asked for one thing, something that seems rather cheap for the quality of the game that we get, and that one thing is our patience and respect for them to make the game as they see fit. Give them that patience. Posting here saying, "lol, the team is all gone" or "they're not doing it, haha you all suck" or "haha, look at the facts <idiots>" is not supporting them. Didn't your parental figures ever say, "If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all?" Maybe, maybe not. Don't try to deny that saying things like that isn't being offensive or trolling. You know it is, that's why you posted. Deny it and prove to everyone that you are here for the purpose of trolling, please. That'll give me excuse enough to have your account ROed, and then let me conveniently forget to have it un-ROed it in a week. If you want to post constructively, fine. If all you want to do is stir up trouble, I'll be happy to have you put in your place. I don't care how long ago you started playing or not, but if you want to attack these people, stating blatantly false things about a team that has been as dedicated to this game as they are, while admitting that you have no idea about what's really happening, I'll be happy to return the favor and give you some time off. However, if you want to post in a mature manner or say nothing, I'll be happy to leave you be.
Back on topic, though, I'd be willing to part with $15 for it
