Realistic .. game.. the combination of these two words almost makes me want to vomit. It's nothing but a slogan for ultra boring people, who have very limited creativity or imagination.

Maybe.
My guess anyway.

Why on earth should a game incorporate realistic elements? It's a game, there shouldn't be any boundries which lean against our realistic and oh so boooooooring world...

I think it's people like that, who want games to have more realistic features, those are screwing up things. Imho... screwing up the fun.

"Ooooh I want falling damage to be liek in real life becuz when U fall 1 meter in real lief u get hurt"

And stuff like that. BORING.

Although, maybe the addition of some realistic "elements" wouldn't hurt. BUT, they shouldn't be dominant. I want my character to move like I never could. The guns to fire projectiles, to be handled the way they could never be handled in real life. Wicked things, crazy ideas, unrealistic...

For all I care, they can add butterfly wings to the bullets, and make them chase you around the level for a certain amount of time. And when they get tired of chasing you, they gather in the local bullet pub!

For a nice, cool drink.
Then it's back to the bandoleer (?) etc...

What a way to earn your living...

Do you think I don't like creativity? I like projectiles, I like crazy weapons that would never be used in real life. I like super fast/strong characters that carry guns as long as bastard swords, and I have also contibuted with creative gun ideas in the forums myself. My suggestions here are mere Graphic realism improvements, I mean what are the chances that a ricochetting bullet or falling bullet will actually hit you???

In real life, a bullet does not travel forward until a certain range than disappear. Instead it has an arc of fire, where it would slant down to the ground and eventually make contact. BF2 has already incorporated this (I am 100% sure, I tested sniping people from different distances by telling a friend of mine to stand a certain distance from me while I test) I believe that this should be applied to all weapons in UT2004 except for light-emitting ones.

Ok...
I don't want to get nasty but dont play ut then if you want realism!!!!
And personally I couldn't give a **** about what BF2 does.
Its realistic . UT is futuristic .

Just stick to your BF2 if you think stuff like that should be applied pls

Sorry about having to get like this but it's just how angry your thread made me.

lol why are you angry, so your saying that in the future we will defy the laws of physics and be able to make bullets warp out of out of our dimensions in order to reduce littering?
It could be realistic AND futuristic, realism is basically propper physics, good physics do not reduce the feel of any game. I like UT more than BF2 because of UTs futuristic fast pased projectile warfare, this doesn't mean that the physics cannot be realistic.

Whats with people assuming that FUTURE not= REAL. In the future we'll have wierd guns but physics will still apply to them just like they should apply to weapons in UT2007.

I didn't say like BF2, I just quoted some physics features that would be cool to see. UT will still have the same pace, feel and style. It will just be cool to see some realistic physics in the equation.

You're such a hater, I don't see a reason for this detest of gravity that you have.

YOU JUST DONT LISTEN FS
THIS IS ***UNREAL*** TOURNAMENT.
Physics do not exist in this game because it's """"""UNREAL"""""".
Now just shutup about physics :\

Physics DO exist in this game, even in the Original UT. When you jump you always seem to land back down, this means that there are physics. All that I'm suggesting is that they make the physics apply to more things.

You're unbelievable... ****
