Realistic .. game.. the combination of these two words almost makes me want to vomit. It's nothing but a slogan for ultra boring people, who have very limited creativity or imagination.
Maybe.
My guess anyway.
Why on earth should a game incorporate realistic elements? It's a game, there shouldn't be any boundries which lean against our realistic and oh so boooooooring world...
I think it's people like that, who want games to have more realistic features, those are screwing up things. Imho... screwing up the fun.
"Ooooh I want falling damage to be liek in real life becuz when U fall 1 meter in real lief u get hurt"
And stuff like that. BORING.
Although, maybe the addition of some realistic "elements" wouldn't hurt. BUT, they shouldn't be dominant. I want my character to move like I never could. The guns to fire projectiles, to be handled the way they could never be handled in real life. Wicked things, crazy ideas, unrealistic...
For all I care, they can add butterfly wings to the bullets, and make them chase you around the level for a certain amount of time. And when they get tired of chasing you, they gather in the local bullet pub!
For a nice, cool drink.
Then it's back to the bandoleer (?) etc...
What a way to earn your living...
