I started a Xan skin idea and I may try others,
BUT actually making a skin and doing what I'm doing is very different. I'm just touching up screen-shots of the various models. Actually making a skin is far more difficult. You have to have at least two differnet skin "sets", 1 Red, and 1 Blue. And I think a "set" is comprised of four 256 X 256 pictures. And if you extract the default skin, touch them up and create a new set the quality would be very low. To do it righ,t you would have to make completely new sets at a much higher resolution (1024 X 1024 at least) and then reduce them to 256 x 256. I can do touch-up work, but creating things from scratch is a bit beyond my artistic abilities.
This is what I suggest. Everybody who has any artistic abilities do what I'm doing and make a screen-shot like the ones I make, then we could all vote on our favortie. Once we have choosen our favorite we either A)Pay that guy to make it ( with the freedom to be a little creative himself) or B)Find somebody that has the abilities and will do it for free.

I think the Xan model is over-used. But I like it, specially with the Chem. Brother. Skin.
I hate the Commando model. 1 word: Barret (sp)
I like the War Machine model. But the skin would have be totally redone. It just doesn't lend itself to touchup very well.
I also like the solider model. The Skin are easily touched up, but simply adding badges and what-not,
But I do agree it too is over-used.
