Planning on getting a new monitor...

...and frankly, I'm quite confused as to what to pick, so any piece of advice or experience (positive or negative) would me more than welcome. I'm replacing my old CRT and I'm looking for a similar monitor performance-wise (no ghosting/high response times/younameit)

Right now, I'm shooting for a 22inch TFT screen, which main (if not only) use will be PC gaming. Price is not important, quality is

P.S. I read a while ago about 100Hz TFTs coming to the market, what's up about these?

I've been impressed with Samsung products recently, got my LCD TV and a 20" TV both samsung with no faults so I had a quick look:

What sort of resolution are you aiming for?

Min. resolution would have to be 1680x1050, but I guess my rig can handle 1920x1200 in games.
At the moment, in addition to the aforementioned Samsung, I'm considering Iiyama monitors, namely the 22'' ProLite E2201W and the 24'' ProLite B2403WS, I read they got fast response times.

Out of those 2 I'd still go for the 22" over the 24" purely because it looks a hell of a lot better and doesn't have a huge black speaker block on the bottom.
