OT- Epic banned me

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Now I just have to backup all my stuff, reinstall the game and all the mods and stuff I have.

What they told you?

let's say (i don't suspect anyone here) that you get the game WAREZ. Then you mail epic and tell them that you've been banned like what just happened to bob9. All you had to do is explain the situation and they gave you a NEW RETAIL cd key???

No not true, Epic has a database of all the retail keys and would know if it were not a real key, that is how they prevent you from playing online with keys generated by a key generator.

I wonder how people manage to steal cd-keys,wouldnt they need accesss to your registry?
Go to 'Control Pannel'/'Administrative Tools'/'Services'. See if the "remote registry" service is started. If so, double-click on it, click on "Stop", then select "start-up type" to disabled.

Then you might want to run HijackThis (http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip), and once you get the report, copy-n-paste the full report to http://hijackthis.de/ - this will tell you if you have any malware in your system. Anything in the report that http://hijackthis.de/ doesn't recognize, search around in Google.

Cheers.
