i dont think armed assault and ofp 2 are the same game. In the official website they talk of them as 2 sepparate games, but maybe theyve blended the projects, since armed assault was supposed to be released at the end of 2005 and ofp2 at the end of 2006
Armed Assault is not the same as Operation Flashpoint 2; Armed Assault will be a "OFP 1.5" essentially, albeit very heavily updated, whilst a proper sequel to Operation Fashpoint is also being made and will be released later.
However, the sequel won't be called Flashpoint 2, as BIS have lost the rights to the OFP license apparently.

They're "not." Armed Assault will primarily be an engine upgrade, and OFP 2 will be a content and graphics upgrade. Sorry, I misread Nukes post. Armed Assault is slated for early 2006, and OFP2 is slated for 'when it's done.'

I loved this game when it came out. For whatever reason the GOTY edition did not work on my current rig. But I have since fixed a bad memory problem, so it may work. I got stuck on SP when I had to fly a helicopter and take out several tanks. I am horrible in the air and could never get past that part. I think I will check out some of the links. Codemasters is making a game called Operation Flashpoint 2, as you've pointed out, whereas BIS is making both Armed Assault, and an untitled "next generation game" that will be a BIS developed proper sequel to Flashpoint 1.
Since BIS don't have the naming rights to call their "next generation game" Operation Flashpoint 2, they'll have to call it something else.

Well wholy crap that sucks. I mean, it's great that they're showing some initiative and small-scale publishing the game to get it out there, but facing facts the game is really a niche market. They're not going to make big numbers on a military simulator unless it is adopted by military institutions. It just doesn't appeal to a large enough market.
I hope they make enough to keep themselves going. More power to them.

OMG! OMG! I have internet again. my fukn neighbor cut my line last weekend while working in his yard. I think I'm gonna take a sh!t in his flower bed.
LOL. I worked on a national show for abour four years and ended up getting fired. I was assigned to Clear Channel's Indoor Super Snow Cross Tour (I hate snowmobiles) and got kicked off the tour. Then, I got to help produce the Fusion TV Freestyle Motorcross segments, until they(Fusion TV) went to sh!t and stopped airing FMX. I worked for a while on the Vans Warped Tour until they put me on a wakeboard tour.
One night, in Anaheim, I was involved in the trashing of a hotel room and that was the beginning of the end. Clear Channel requested that FOX Sports not send me on location anymore. I was stuck in an AVID bay for three months and decided I wanted to only work 2-3 hours per day. So, I started coming in an hour late, leaving for lunch an hour early, returning from luch just before the end of the day. They were "over it."

I currently have a good lead with a good company, tomorrow @ 2pm I'll put my BS to the test for the third time. You guys will love this; they have me taking a math, reading comprehension and a PERSONALYSIS test!!!!! I've been practicing on how to fall right in the middle on like tests!
Anyone here have advice for the "personalysis?" It's a subscription type of test and I can't find much about it on the internet. It's actual name is "personalysis."
