As of today, the Default Channel in TeamSpeak is moderated. If you could simply join the channel for the server you are playing on, you will be able to talk just fine. The Channel Admins will be able to give you temporary voice in the default channel if you would like it for some reason. You would lose this voice once you left the channel/server.
This is in response to the request for more power on the server. What this will do is allow the channel admins to kick people from the other channels to the Default Channel and then ban them from the server from there if necessary.
