BC, look at Dev's top speeds. They aren't as high as yours, which means he just gets to speed quicker than you. Use NOS to shift through your gears and get up to speed quickly. Less burnout probably helps, but that just means you need better traction off the line. So, like Dev said, increase the power of your NOS, get better tire traction, and tighten up the gear ratios to get that car through the quarter mile quicker.

I can make the NOS more powerful...is it better to have more power and less time do you think? For drag anyway right?

The rear tire grip is all the way up, The rear suspension is a little bit softer, and my gears are SO tight that I can tap my gear up button and get perfect shifts for atleast first thru third

I think I'm going to have dev beat by the end of today

It made me mad when I used a mustang to drag, all I did was upgrade to all the Extreme packages, and it ran the quarter mile in 8.7 or something with no tuning. With no tuning the GTO ran it in 9.6 or something. So I think I've come a long way

Thanx for the Tip.. Still took some time to figure it out but I barely beat the score FINALLY!! Got the Civic over 3.00 but it sure looks ugly now.. Guess pimpiong it means to look ugly. I got a chance to get a Audi TT, passed it up.
Can I swap a car for it?? Anyway guess I am on 3rd level, Coal Area opened up and I have to go clean my real car.. LOL

When more stuff opens up you can increase the visual rating without even making a difference in the look of the car. For example, you can put a custom trunk audio system in, cant even see it, you can put in engine accents and engine neon, cant see it, trunk neon, and you can put hydraulics on the car, dont have to use them. That right there will give you 3 or 4 stars


Edit: Here is a question for Dev...does making a car all carbon fiber increase the performance? Cuz I did that to the GTO with the wide body kit and everything, but its ugly. Any thoughts?

I am not much of a drag racer.. Miss alot of shifts, and crash alot. On the test track I do better.. The further you get into the game the more cares open up for Quick Racing not Career right!! Have to check it out when I get home..

Welp, I don't have Diablo 2, but I'm sure it's reasonably priced now... so I might look into that.

Excuse Me!!! This is an NFSU Thread...not a Diablo 2/Neverwinter nights thread!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone else watch the NFSU2 thing on Spike TV last night? It was pretty lame, but they were showing some real drifting...those guys are sick.

So all you NFSU2 owners...when are we going to get together and do some racing?

First off answer some of my questions. I think I messed up this career. I am am on Stage 3, completing Stage 1 & 2.
Question: What is meant by Outrun Races? Is that the cars driving around?
I was reading the forums and it looks like I need to beat all of them or most of them to open up extra goodies or to get nice crap.

Question: Do I need to start over again? I just started Stage 3 and should be OK right?

Question: Can someone explain the Worldmap in the Garage? Can I just go there and select races to race in?

Damn It I want to go home and Drive!!

I keep having to redo races because the game does funny things and I have to restart it. The first time I got the Celica and upgraded all the performance mods I did this on my next race (see below, I didn't get a chance to show the next fastest car, I won by more than 15 seconds). When I went to Alt-Tab back from making the screenie, the game locked on me. Had to redo the race, only won by about 6 seconds, but I didn't get any less reputation points, so I wasn't too bothered about it. However, I did feel like "Man, how bad do you have to beat these jokers to get more than 200 rep points?" Flying down the highway at 170+mph was impressive, though. Oh yeah, the second picture was my first Drift race with my first stock car, just to show TAZ it isn't hard.

I had to because of the small selection of parts I had to choose from to get it up to 4 stars. I made a new one to use online...its much better now.

Hey been racing and building all afternoon.
I have a TT for Speed, for performance and a little bit of looks.
I made a DVD Cover and got a free Spoiler, so I started a RX8 for looks and some performance. Have to get to point B quicker right.. LOL Anyway she is looking sweet, still need to add some more stuff to make sponsor happy.
