Better yet lets attack eletrical nodes to peoples nipples and shock them with a few volts every time you die. I bet you will see ALOT more realistic combat after that.

I think that's a tad...excessive. Not to mention unfair to female players.

Infiltration is great because it EMBRACES human frailties…

Alright, if you haven't figured it out already, I worship Infiltration 2.9. It's a stunning game, and really exists in a niche all its own. I've played games with similar features, but the Infiltration team just took it to the next level, and then they added another level after that, and then they added yet ANOTHER level after that.

Shooting bull’s-eyes from the hip, having endless endurance, bunny hopping, falling from great heights without sustaining a scratch, purchasing weapons on the fly, exploiting convenient ammo and supply dumps, well, if one enjoys those features, and there's NOTHING wrong with those features in and of themselves, they can be readily found in an ENDLESS and inbred lineage of other titles. I own a slew of those games, and I DO enjoy them, for what THEY are. They, however, are not Infiltration, and I'm most grateful that 2.9 is here to fill a HUGE vacuum of gaming possibilities that are routinely ignored or squandered.

I think of Infiltration much like how I think about a favorite graphic novel of mine, "Batman, The Dark Knight Returns," by Frank Miller. Brilliant writing and art. What makes it work SO well is that Miller took the standard conventions about superhero writing and flushed them down the toilet. Heroes are supposed to be powerful, but NOT Miller's Batman. He made him an old coot deeply drowning in the loss of a cherished comrade, his world was so drenched in fear that he was prone to panic attacks, and when he finally found the “courage” to put the costume back on, he sadly discovered that he could barely climb up a rope any more. Superheroes are supposed to be fast. Miller's Batman was slow and got winded. And he got the crap kicked out of him, UNTIL he learned new ways to overcoming his "weaknesses." In other words, he made him far more HUMAN than what was deemed to be "good" and "proper." And what did he achieve by making him HUMAN? He made us identify with the character on a level that was never reached before, because he was now at OUR level, and he showed that by struggling with human failings and frailties, and finding new ways to overcome them, that THAT'S what makes a person a hero.

With Infiltration, you're HUMAN. You HAVE limits. You HAVE realistic weaknesses. And what makes you SHINE is what YOU do to overcome the frailties that EVERYONE has.

Now THAT is a GREAT formula for a GREAT game.

This is one TC that's never going to leave my hard drive. Well, at least until the next release comes out. Hopefully tomorrow, right? And accompanied by my suggested "Civilians" mutator? Good, I'm glad to hear that!

See, that's one "weakness" I'm good at, DREAMING. Hopefully, this dream will come true. LOL.

Yours,
Kyle

Either Duke found a way not to be human in INF or he shines a hell lot more then I do...

SaraP... you can actually find something excessive! I'm impressed ;) :D

As for the nipples, it's not because they are not as sensitive that they are not sensitive at all... A few volts on there would be enough to trigger the natural relfex to throw a good jab at the guy who had this idea ;)

Yes, please.
I think Geobob just likes talking about nipples.

Nice speech Kyle, but I think you're wasting your breath on this run&gunner, and as for the rest of us, you're preaching to the choir. Well said though.

So... you where looking for away to improve gameplay or where you looking for a way to raise the numbers of Teamkills?

Naw if you TK you get double the jolt to your own balls. That will reduce TKs drastically ;)
