Well, I do it. Grasshopper does it. Already, others have mentioned that they do it. I learned this particular strat from Grasshopper when I was doing defense with him. Ask jago how effective it is. I hate to give out my strategies in such a format but since indian psycho said that it only shows if your teammate is in it, then it's a moot point anyhow.

This tactic is very prevalent in scrimmages, serious matches, etc. between clans especially that have a cohesive strategy and so forth.

I don't like the health bars over vehicles because it ruins my screen shots.
:p
I still don't know how to get rid of it... :con:

A long long way from home...
Health bars on raptor wouldn't make any difference to be honest  It would just be like watching the ones on the XMPTV casts, but on your player's screen... Most likely to get ignored anyway :D

People still get in them when they're on fire, and if you're not a women driver (no offence intended ;)) then you will berelatively safe in it :D

yeah i used to do the damage trick ages ago then everyone blew them up and waited for respawn before getting in :D
altho riding on a jugger laying mines on it then watchin it blow up for 800 points is funny

but yeah if the area is clear i'll take a damaged raptor when i got an arti
it just means u have to drive better more cauciously, kinda like driving a harby do it carefully :D
so yea healthbars wont make a differance

This debate about healthbars making a difference is rather moot.

However, since so many people seem to be saying that it wouldn't matter. I know a lot of people who would end up blowing up the tank or raptor before going into it once finding out it was at half or less health, so that it would respawn. If they didn't know the health, they would need to at least get in before knowing.

Etc.

I don't see how they can not make a difference.

I think you guys are just smoking crack coccaine and don't want to share any of it. And I never go into a raptor that's on fire.

Oh...we're talking about good players, not noobs.

Thanks and gg.

but if they are in a rush they are not goin to see the heathbar

DISCLAIMER -> THIS IS ALL THEORETICAL BECAUSE A PERSON CAN NOT SEE THE HEALTHBAR WITHOUT HAVING A TEAMMATE IN THE ACTUAL VEHICLE.

Okay, so let's say your statement is correct:
_IF_ in a _RUSH_ -> the assumption here is that they need to get into the vehicle quickly to run away with the art. What if they are on the offensive? They would be more methodical in regards to their attack. Some would go in a tank or raptor to spam the defense with rockets or turret fire.

Now, let's see if your statement is correct:
IF you are in a rush, you do happen to overlook small details but as you approach a vehicle and IF there was a healthbar above it(see disclaimer), unless your have 1 to 2 fps, it's unlikely you won't see the healthbar. Now whether or not you act upon that information depends on how leet you are. Some would make the call that the HP is not that bad and still take the vehicle. Other's wouldn't and never go in. So really the subset that you're catching are those people who would never go in if they noticed that healthbar was less than 50% but greater than 30%, and I would like to start a poll in byu to see if your statement is correct.

Thanks, and let the games start.

There is no point. U2XMP is so dead that anything somewhat entertaining should be considered material for the forums.

:)
