New DooM game

Here's a long trailer of the new Doom game, shown at E3. Looks like it could be fun.

Couple of quick observations:
- chainsaw seems a bit too powerfull?
- There's no need for a slowdown when you switch to another weapon
- As a nice nostalgic wink; include an optional statusbar (or just the face) someone could probably, if possible, mod that in.
But it's still early; Realse if I'm not mistaken would be for spring next year.

It looks like they decided to make Brutal Doom HD hehe.

I hope they get creative with some of the levels, especially the Hell areas.

Looks like a fun game. I might try it out, but I really do not like id and Bethesda right now, so it's a hard decision.

Fallout 4 looks great.

They are both owned by parent company Zenimax, which is overall just a pretty bad guy company. Also the fact that they just keep making sequels.

In the multi player part I could swear I saw a railgun or lightning gun of some kind. It's the long blue streak you'll see. What do you guys think am I wrong?

This game looks so amazing. Some observations.

1, Health and armor is not laying around it comes from the monsters you kill (maybe more for the style of kill??)
2. The gun has interchangeable functionality

I keep trying to watch the selection wheel for weapon names. Chaingun, shotgun,super shotgun confirmed as well as Rocket Launcher and Plasma Rifle.

Falling damage compensation, meaning doomguy can fall from great heights and not get injured. Yep, I like that.
Hell looks nice. It's gloomy, yet bright enough. They're showing quite a lot, most weapons even the bfg. And the cyberdemon.

I'm in. Definitely loving the finishing moves and the chainsaw. Should be fun.

The new Unreal Tournament is great compared to this.

Don't worry about it, shortly after release some nostalgia fanatics will probably mod the game to their doom/2 origins likings. Heck, how like will it take before someone will remake doom e1M1 or d2 map1/map7..or the entire first episode etc.

Maybe george fiffy will release another "reol though:total war" map and...oh please no...;

I love how some people want NEW games to be EXACTLY like their previous versions.

It's a new game instead of a remake for a reason. If you want old Doom, go and play old Doom. It's not rocket science. Same goes with the UT people. They actually want a remake instead of a new game. Which is why it's going to fail.

Stop trying to remake new games.

Hope you're not also referring to my post, it was mainly sarcasm. Those remakes will be inevitable, but I don't really care that much. The emphasis should be on creating new content. I like this new look/style. And I enjoyed playing Doom 3. Still do as a matter of fact.

Leo may not always make sense but I do agree that double jumping is dumb. I really hope that double jumping isn't a mechanic in this game and it was just a one-off thing.

I also wish that they weren't playing it with a controller or if they were using a mouse, they weren't using that horrible sweeping/swooping. It gives me motion sickness.

This is complete piece of crap, trying to watch the full bethesda e3 reveal is too painful, from trying to watch that guy's face to seeing the multiplayer bits and...I just can't stand it anymore!
