New BuA Server in NYC...

I've played on the server and eventhough the ping is high it does play smoothly with no shotlag.

While we're on the subject, Mav if you want to play on a server with the most up to date antitcc then I suggest you get your own server and install it yourself. It's amazing that those that do the least to supply us with a place to hang out in are usually the first ones to criticise it. The old addage "If you can't say something nice then don't say it at all", can be applied here as well.

I found out something very interesting last night. I changed the tickrate of the server and it improved my ping immensly. I am going to allow people to test it before I make any more changes to it.

New ping-80

The only thing wrong with that is that the amount of bandwidth use by the server will increase and my become noticeable to the server company. So if you notice or get notified by the company that they had to change it back to the default setting don't dispute it cause they could just cancel your services altogether.

Well I went ahead and cancelled the server. I was just trying to help and it seemed like I was making things worse than better. I am going to crank the tickrate up to 70 to see how it does before they stop the server for good on the 4th of next month!

Aw, I pinged quite well on that thing tonight. It played fairly smooth. Of course, I played a 3v3 on there tonight, while I played 4v4s on the BuA GR and Mad Dog's servers.

How about «BuA» Fragging Center.. We start with a LAN Cafe with 20 Gaming Stations all wired up and ready for fragging. We can also have a Workshop for Modding and Building Custom PC's. We could then expand on future projects. hmmmm Damn ICEY, hit the Lotto will ya..
