This thread is especially geared towards those who're new to the game! I realise there are plenty of people already who're familiar with most model I'm about to post. But I'm sure there'll still be plenty of people who'll benefit from viewing this thread!!!

For the unfortunate souls, who haven't had the pleasure to discover any great models for this game.. for those who won't bother (who seriously don't realise what they're missing out on)..etc..

I'll be linking to some nice player models on Skincity. I'm making a selection of those models which stand out. Some stand out, because they're f.e. hilarious (grover), original (bug warrior) etc..

i really like all the dog people, people and animal crosses and werewolf skins. when i play using bots, i usually use the jar-gual and ARA, with a few of the elemental nali war cows, spiders, and colbras thrown in for good measure

What you can do, for starters, is changing those default bots! Refreshen your UT world !!!

Oh yeah, Jar gual and Ara are great!

Try combining the Ara wolf with the Bill cosby voice. I almost fell of my chair laughing at the "I've got your back" voice

In combination with that model, it was hilarious.

Jar gual goes well with Sylvester stallone (the wolf).

Hmm, have you come accross a Grim Reaper model somewhere ? I'm sure I saw one on a screenshot once. Also, have you been able to get the Eightlegged Freaks to work so they animate properly ?

i thought the were legs animated. at least i remember them being . however i could not use them as bots for some reason , they were not on the bot charicter list when i installed skin . some thing missing?

i always use shibuki alot . or boss skin

Yeah you're right. Forget about this in my enthousiasm..
Been on 56K for 3 years anyway...

I remember 4 years ago, when the pain of the 56k was mine (thanks to the mayor of my village that made DSL connection possible there 4 years ago, my pain ended ), people were not as good willing as you to edit their posts.

Whew, it took me 70 minutes to list all those models.
Didn't really mind, I'm sure there are still too many people stuck with the retail models.
(Gets boring quickly, doesn't it?)

Updating didn't take that long, no trouble nonetheless :O)

Oh I also clearly remember my 56k days... the loading times, the waiting.

I want this thread to be viewed a lot. What about making it a sticky?
Thing is ... ^_^ There are already 4 sticky threads. (yet the ut2K4 fo has more stickies I think).

We could also place a link in our sigs, BUT... I think making it a sticky would be best.
Doesn't have to be made a sticky thread, but I'd hate seeing it thumble down the dark forum forest... :-V

Good idea, a list of must have models or skins for possible beginner (or just unaware people) should be sticky.

In the same time we should ask to un-sticky the "godlike project" as the majority of the demos i watched are cheated , because they are played in Godlike difficulty but with more than obvious edited-to-be-dumb bots characteristics (incredible that people can cheat like this just for some virtual "fame") :/
It does not deserve the sticky.

Really? I never bothered watching those demos.
I know I've edited my bots to be more than challenging, but not insanily challenging.
And no aimbots.. or near-perfect aim either. Too boring.

Well, it's a shame demos like those were uploaded.

Anyone else agreeing this would make a good sticky?
We could indeed also include a list of good,outstanding, special skins.
(Meaning no already-excisting-skins-edit, no black skins arg etc... too many of those. Once I saw the male soldier -warmachine_vector skin. You know what was changed?
The face. Instead of yellow lines, blue ones. ...
.... :-/...)

Hey FieldMedic i downloaded the Desert ops guy and you know that thing he does where he raises his arms when you pick him ,well sumthin happened and when i selected Xan MkII he did the same thing it looked kinda funny!!!!

I have tons of models and the only other model that I find cooler to play than a Mcommando Necris or a FSoldier/WarMachine was the Predator skin/voicepack for the Skaarj Hybrid, so euh.. this Thread Sticky? sure why not?
Might be a chance after all that I drop my eye on a cool model I didnt saw at all :tup:
