Need Help with ForkLift Animation

Hey I am making a ForkLift and i would like for it to be able to lift objects as it is moving, ect. I would like for it to be true to life, being able to move the forks up and down, foward and backwards, but i dont know how to go about scripting that. I need to know the following items or where the best place to get the information.

1. Attaching objects with animations to the forklift
2. Make the arrow keys active the animations of the forks moving
3. The functions that I need so that the animations can be seen on the server and the client.
4. Any thing else that I am forgeting.
