my feelings about clans.

Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I can't speak for most clans, but Unknown1s is a close knit family. We meet for lunch about once a week. We hold Monthly Lan Events and trips the Gun Range. Most of us are between 18-30 and a fire-arm owners BTW, so we all have common threads. My clanmates get each other jobs, and spend alot of times BSing in our IRC channel and in our clan forum. We're are brethren. We are a clan built on the principal that we are here to make friendships and feel a part of something larger and better then we ourselves can achieve. That the honor of facing other clans is more important than victories or statistics. Playing the game and making friends is what Clan-Life is all about and I wouldn't ever consider leaving [UN1] or the friends I have made on-line.
You are missing out. Find the right clan and you'll know what it is the be a clanner for life.

{PhD} has had both male & female members, mainly between and age of 20 to 36. Each has been chosen by me or my captains because of two main traits; they've shown maturity & good attitude when dealing with others online, and have the skills necessary to play the mod. And attitude IS MORE IMPORTANT than skill in the long term. Many talented recruits have been turned away because their attitude didn't mesh well with our existing members.
There are quite a few clans out there that have the skills to play, but show no class to fellow players. Thankfully, those clans never stay together long /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Definition of Clan (my inet version):
Organized group of real friends or e-friends which like to play with each other online/local. Clan games are even more interesting since two organized teams play against each other. And it's real fun. Teamwork is KEY.
I only play clan games and clan practice, pickup games are unorganized, sometimes immature and plain stupid. Sorry.

hey, im real sorry but i didn't even start this thread. it was my dickhead friend dan who comes over and plays infiltration with me. im real sorry about this thread i presonally have no objections to clans. i guess i have to log out after each time i use this forum.

Unfortunately, not all clans are honorable and good sports. The others sometimes give people the wrong taste in their mouthes and the legit clans must pay.
Good to know your not against us, but I wouldn't have held it against you if you were. Good people can have bad experiences with clans... they are still good people.

I'm looking for a clan to join. The problem is that my work and home life prevent me from getting online until about 11:00pm central time. I also want to be very careful about who I join with, I don't want to join a bunch of jerks who go out to cause trouble. Is it just me or are most clans just a bunch of loosely organized newbies ?
No offense to the good clans (far too few of em)...
I myself have been in 3 good clans since quake1...
I don't have the time or the patience for clan stuff any more though...
P.S. Hey Elec, nvr see u on the SOBservers anymore..
