sorry to hear that Chrysaor. I know what it's like to loose someone, well, not a friend, but a close family member. It's kinda weird, almost creepy how any random things you may have done before, now you suddenly won't do. Maybe the way you act; maybe a habbit you started, or quit; maybe you are or were better or worse at doing things you have done or did. Seems to me it is the first sign of growth, and usually happens very shortly after the incident, as if a greater power is telling you better things will come. To me it appears as a vision, and is what helps me through this kind of loss. I will go no further into that, but I hope you and their family and his friends will get through this.

i was thinking about that kinda stuff. he went to Kansas State to study Architecture. I was going to go there too, but i changed my mind early last year and went to a different school. I've been sailing with him b4, so it's likely i woulda been on that boat if i had decided to go into architecture, which was what i wanted to do for the vast majority of my life. it's creeping me out. I'm leaving later today for home, and i'll stop by and talk to his family for awhile. Don't know what i'll say, but i need to see them.

Sorry, Chrysoar...things just happen, I doubt God had anything to do with it, as he seems to be just leaving us to our own devices these days and not interferring...He has his reasons, I guess.

Give it some time, and move on past it...it's the only cure.

Chrysoar- about 15 years ago 4 people (2 i knew) went boating locally and disappeared. no trace of boat or bodies. there were stories that they got hijacked and taken to another country to be sold as white slaves. i never heard anything again after that.

hope you find your bud soon.

Right behind you...
One of my coworkers went boating with his son on the Potomac one weekend last year, got tired and dizzy, fell in, and went straight to the bottom... he was trying to pull his son out of the water. I didn't find out until I went into his office to ask how his boating trip was and I found his girlfriend curled up in the corner of his office wailing like a banshee. Such is life.
