Since I live in Israel, I lag a lot myself. My ways of hitting moving targets with lag are:
A. Use M203. It's just great. Even if you miss a bit you still kill. Learn to switch fast between the 40mm and the 5.56.
B. Rapid fire. Usually in short range but can also work medium range. Shoot a lot at the target until it drops. If you think it might hit you, take cover, reload, and try again.
C. If he didn't spot you, wait for him to stop. Basically the only way in long ranges unless you can snipe with a 40mm.
As for m203 vs HK 40mm, I much prefer the m203, because my prefered weapon is the M16 anyway, and taking m203 is less bulky and has a much much much faster switching than the HK 40mm.

Well, I'm sure many who play online are quite aware of my opinions of the M203 :)D), but just to reinforce, there are some maps where it's actually superior to bullets as it can hit behind cover and, as gal-z points out, it's a weapon where you can afford to be a little imprecise and rely on luck. Of course, TOAD taught me that the best way to kill is to physically hit your target with the 40mm. :p There are plenty of good naders out there who you can get some tips from.

Just go to the range and get a feel for it. Eventually, you'll get used to not seeing your target while firing and used to hip/ladder sight, whichever you prefer (I use both, depending on situation ... if I use the HK69). Practice, practice, practice. Visualize your target if you can't see it, and remember shooting for walls and floors near your target is generally a more effective tactic, unless you're going for the super-1337z gib kill. :D

for precision 'nading (super-1337z gib killing) i usually take an m16a4, set the ladder sight at the 200m mark, then by using the top horizontal bar as your guide you can hit any target from 0-300+ meters with 100% accuracy.

as for the HK69, i dunno, i find the m16a4 ladder much easier to (mis)use. :D

here is a screenshot of how to take aim.

Your collage could lead to a GREAT series of tutorials...

Lt.,

Your collage of screenshots is a GREAT instructional tool. I should know, I've been teaching for over 5 years now. :) Seriousy, the thoughtfully placed sequence of images spoke VOLUMES and in a very CLEAR manner.

Are there any more of these well-crafted and well thought out tutorials around? I could see these elevating the skill levels of all kinds of INF players, new to the game or not. If a series of these could be collected into a zip file that'd be a wonderful training tool. A single step-by-step collage could be dedicated to each topic, such as to handle a SAW (especially when dealing with shooting through a target's cover), the AKMSU, pistols, claymores, etc. etc.

I don't think it'd be necessary to do a tutorial on EVERY weapon, but only on weapons that fit comfortably within a broad category, such as assault rifles, and certain weapons like the ones mentioned above, that are especially troublesome to use, should most certainly earn their own tutorial collage.

Lt., you really hit a homerun in my book with that tutorial on the M16A4's M203's ladder sight. Thank you.

Now to head to the shooting range to practice.

Kyle

I simply strafe side to side and hip the m203. :p It is devastatingly effective. They usually can't hit you when you are strafing side to side, so wait for them to fire a burst at you, then quickly stop and gib them while their aim is recovering. -- The strafewhorenomore mutie is trying to put an end to this tactic, but hasn't succeeded yet (just tap forward or back to quickly change strafe direction).

Most Important: The higher you go the better with any nade launcher. It is much easier to hit targets by firing at their feet from above, rather than trying to aim at them directly while level with the target.

Look for targets of opportunity:
1) People hugging walls (just too easy :) )
2) Players in small rooms (just sail one through the window).
3) Enemies below you (aim for their feet).

Oh, and if it is vanilla nades... THEN GO crazy! Not only are they 4 times as powerful, but they are also perfectly accurate even on the run!! (shoot it hipped while jogging, you'll see)

thanks , playing like that is lame since strafe shooting is an abuse of the ping people normaly have. they cant shoot you because of ping. in a lan party they could shoot you first

If you've got a restrictive firewall on your router, you need to look in the manual for said router and learn how to use the DMZ hosting feature.
