i can efficiently kill people at 100m with my trusty mp5 in inf... do you think any gun with such a short barrel length and simple ammunition would be able to do that? NO! and also, if you can get a hang of it, recoil in inf is pretty easy to neutralize. the thing is, when you're firing, all you have to do is move your mouse down at the correct speed and your gun stays at the same level. Basically, there should be more random recoil effects to make it realistic, and the horizontal recoil is too low as well. Okay i'll admit i've never even fired a gun in real life, but hell, if i'm wrong tell me about it.

The MP5 has an effective real life range of 150-200 meters 
And do you really think such a short barrel and simple amunition would kick all that much. The MP5 is done right in INF, we dont need any of that CS random bullut cone crap or random kick either. Its not very hard to shoot someone in real life, just like in INF.

If you are talking about something "maximum effective range," well, maybe, but real MP5s are not used, more exactly not preferred, in these situations. You just cannot trust SMGs and the accompanied pistol ammunitions if you want to shoot that far.
Another point is, in real life, even if you shoot with MP5 and you luckily hit the target at 200m, the bullet is very weak after such a long flight.
That said 9mm FMJ is still potentially lethal out past 1800meters

I noticed that players have gotten used to the click rate of the mp5/p90 on full auto. so I toyed around with it in semi for a few hours.

If you are standing still and are firing the MP5 from your cheek, that means holding it steadly, it shouldn't recoil much at all....(depends if it's a professional or not that uses it though)

IRL wind is a factor, especially at 100+ with that kind of ammo. In INF you do not have to take that into consideration.

heck i have limited comp time i cant check back every day...
but it appears i'm not a moron as i've come to believe. honestly. aiming at someone 100 m away is already relatively hard and requires a moderate amount of practice... now add the fact that you're rapidly firing, and the bullets... well you get the picture. it's not quite so simple as "you can keep the recoil down quite easily." So what? can you re-adjust your aim every single time a bullet gets fired out of the chamber? NO! Your aim will eventually go way off course, probably after the first 3 shots, since a slight offset is more than slight at 100m. nutters
BTW, i'm one of those germans you're talking about. 100% german, with both sides fighting in WW2 (not necessarily proud of that). I've got the roots people. MY GRANDFATHER KILLED YOUR GRANDFATHER WITH THE FIRST MP!
