Mouse Issue

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. Not sure what you mean about "not listening..."

I knew a clean install would work (to get the basic 2K4 up & running), since it always does....BUT,...I've never had black screen or mouse lock-up issues AFTER a fresh install, adding on the patch, Chaos & Jailbreak Mods, map packs, voice packs, skins and mutators.

I'll do what you suggest.....add the maps, test, add the mutators, test, and so forth.

Thanks folks and hope this does it once and for all now...

Wonder if my issue is with my patch...

After a fresh install, UT2k4 up n running. Applied the Mega Patch, rebooted and all seems fine, still.

Went to UMOD-install Chaos and got a prompt that I needed to have the 3369 patched version installed and I only have retail version 1.

Yet after installing the Mega patch (which I understand has the previous patches in it and should bring my version up to 3369) the log is reading...

This is JUST a fresh install of 2K4 and the patch. Nothing else was/has been added...

Mick 1 is right. Chaos was made before the mega patch and it looks to see if you have a certain version number installed. The mega patch installs some number that Chaos does not know and it will not allow you to install saying you must have patch 3369 installed. What I have done to get around this is to install the mega patch since it has the newer version of the ECE Bonus Pack streamlined into it and then I come back and install the 3369 patch. At that point Chaos will let you install it.

Hmmm? I never thought to just edit the manifest. I'll try that next time!
