First, I haven't seen it yet, so please don't spoil it for me. I've seen Matrix Revolutions threads all over the Internet and haven't even opened one for this very reason.

I went to BestBuy this weekend to buy Matrix Reloaded and they told me I need to buy Animatrix to understand Revolutions at the theatre. Was this just a snow job to sell more stuff or was he right? If he was correct, where can I find this extra information I need to know on the Internet or can someone just tell me in this thread. Thank you.

Just watched Reloaded again tonight on DVD and I still like it and my wife still doesn't like the "to be continued" thing at the end. Will be seeing Revolutions at the theatre very soon!

Buying Animatrix is not required IMO: some of my friends who are diehard Matrix fans bought it and the explanations they gave concerning the whole story were just... well, exactly the sort of explanations someone gives when he has smoked too much forbidden products :D  :)

Enjoy the show for what it is, then you'll see if yes or no you want Animatrix aswell... :)

On the other hand, there's some very cool animes in this DVD collection of Animatrix: if you like good pics and well-done jobs, I recommend you to take a look at some of them ;)

Well, I say the movie today and man what a lot of action! There must have been one sequence with almost 30 minutes of non-stop action. Exactly what I expected, so I wasn't disappointed!
