Did you change to him while playing a game or while in the main menu?

The model/skin remains the same in-game till you respawn or go onto the next round/map.

Either: 1) Your UT2004 is playing silly buggas and needs to be re-installed, or
2) The files are just not working due to a fault on the creator's part.

For a Master Chief model, just download v1.75 +patches of HaloUT
There's also Elites, Grunts and many more Halo characters.

But if you want a mkVI Master Chief, I think there's one floating around the forums. Got it today from somewhere round here, no, wait, I googled
UT2004 Halo 2 Master Chief Model, it was the 3rd link down.

Drag and Drop these files in the zip in to these folders located where you installed ut2004.

*briangrifTEX.utx-(Textures Folder)
*BrianGriffin.ukx-(Animations Folder)
*xbriangriffin.upl-(System Folder)

*briangriffvoice.int-(System Folder)
*cellshader.utx-(Textures Folder)

If you want to see a skin online , it must be installed on the server , too .

I think it would be better , if you ask someone with computerexperience to guide you thru the drag and drop - lesson before it becomes an endless story here.

Ok, 1) I can't read your 2nd line (think before you type) and 2, that Master Chief looks like crap, and the last screenshot was taken from Halo:CE/PC.
Just d/l and install HaloUT, a much better Chief awaits you there.

And all the files come in there own folders. Heres a step by step to get it to work.


1) Unzip to the defualt path.
2) Copy all the folders (execpt the one for the SPX Hog) into UT2004's directory. (eg c\:UT2004)
3)Then, copy all the files in the SPX Hog folder to system (don't copy the folder itself)
4) lastly with the patchs, most go into the system folder and one or 2 into textures.
.U and .UCl into system.
.UTX into textures (try to read it as Unreal TeXtures, helps me remember what it's for)

Doubt theres any in the patches, but heres other common extensions..
.KA =KArma data
.INT=System
.OGG=Music
.UAX=Sounds
.USX=Static Meshes
.UT2=Maps (they have the UT2004 logo anyways, so they're easy to identify)

And, now, I have to spread the joy of WinRAR to those without via my sig.
Still prefer .zip though...

EDIT-DOH! Always forget I'm on the 1st pge. Yeah, as SaD just said, the server must have that skin/model installed before it'll show up.

Oh, and walkthrough, not walkthrew. Judging by your spelling, you wouldn't have passed 3rd grade S.T.A.R testing in California or 4th grade MCAS testing in Massachusetts (I've seen the word "walkthrough" appear in both tests)
