Hi. This is my first post as a Unreal Tournament player. Though i have played it sicne its birth. This is by far the best one. That being said i wanna complement the modders here for FHI. It wonderful and everything Inv. shoulda been. I was wondering though... are you making more maps for it? could you? or if you have where are they?

There are 21 maps already (I didn't count them but that's what the main page claims).
There are also a few "beta" maps listed in this forum, I'm sure the authors will gladly post a link :)

Actually, I'd love to see more maps too...

The bring ideas I reckon, and by gawd, you post hellovalot times.
Anyways, I'm having some ideas right now.
I'm not too great on terrain yet, still exploring that section, but I must say I can hold my own when it comes to indoor decorations. As you might see one day in my remake of FHI-Underground,. if it gates in with v3, that is.

Of course you could just click the link on the bottom of that page to advance

EDIT:
this is just more of the same, but just in case one of the 2 tutorials aren't clear enough on a particular subject...

this seems to be the homepage of the 2nd link

as for the VTM's, somebody MUST have uploaded them, or will do that if you'd ask them politely. Try the BuF, you'd get more attention there.

And thanks for the flattering ;)

And if you have any questions or problems, please do ask.

Another nice site for tut's would be UnrealWiki
This site may be kinda difficult to browse through if your new to Ued, but certainly is worth to check out. Also, you can download the entire site content in a offline package.

(if you own a (dvd) Special Edition of ut2004, then (VTM's) Video Training Modules are included..if not, check below)
And.. a really nice site is 3DBuzz which has lots of VTM's available for download about Unreal technology. It covers more than just mapping. It's explained very detailed, easy and understandable and IMO much better than the average written tutorials available.
Note: you must register (free) before you can download any VTM's. The site has lots of other VTM's for other pograms as well.

Good luck!

Unfortunatly when I try to run that, I get an error saying it can't find UT2k4Secure so I have to load up plain vanilla UEd and the packages manually.

Just browse to FHIMod folder within UT2004 and open up FHIMod.ini, next scroll down till you come to '[Editor.EditorEngine]' look for 'EditPackages=UT2K4Secure' and delete that line. Save it and problem solved... or if this is to much of a trouble.. go download UT2K4Secure what Ronin said, put that in system and problem also solved. :)

Ahh editpackages doh. I didn't think of that. And no I'm not going to download a security type thing, because my only computer that can run UT2k4 doesn't have internet access anyway...

I downloaded v2 of FHI and I looked in the system directory of FHImod and don't see an unrealed.exe file? Was this in version 1?

Thanks. I will be designing away, and will have more questions. :)

Right
Just ask away if you need to; PM, msn, whatever, check the bonuspack thread, there you can find your way to the community's mappers.
Perhaps if you got a good map we will include it if you'd submit.
Keep in touch ;)

PS. I'm just typing this so Dark Dust won't have to ;)
