Make an emitter work after using Destroyable Objects

I would like to set up several emitters to start "burning" a building after blowing up a power core type of mesh.

I can set up the destroyable object fairly simply, but how can I set the trigger with the destroyable object to trigger the emitters to start after I destroy it?

I am fairly noob to triggers, but would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Sorry for some miscommunication - The main question is that I am unsure how to tell a scripted trigger that the destruction of the object is my event so that I can link it up to the emitter. I am a little familiar with scripted triggers and normal triggers, but never with an object that is destroyable.
