Level Design Tutorial

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. Hey folks,

We've recently created a doc for all of you burgeoning level designers out there. This will help if you'd like to try your hand at creating maps for Clone Bandits. We've even got the tutorial in two distinct flavors, PDF and RTF. Take a look, and let us know if you're making the Next Great Map for our collective banditing pleasure!

I should probably mention that the only thing that changed is the setting in the clone jar bases the "FracOfClonesToTake" value is now a decimal and no longer number greater than 1. So if you had a jar base that had this value set to 4 you should now set it to 0.25 (in other words its reciprocal: 1/4).

No other changes to the tutorial were made.

Would it be possible for there to be a static mesh pack of things like a broken Statue of Liberty, McDonalds, Gas stations, and stuff like that? That would make for some really cool maps probably...

If you make the mesh pack, anything's possible! :)

We're super-busy right now, so it's not likely we'll be able to crank out lots of art for folks to use in their maps in the near-term. We're hoping the community comes together to extend the style we've put together.
