Hi! My name's Harold, the humble host of Leather Oaks, which is both my home and my lifestyle. I'm not sure how many decades ago I discovered the pleasures and comfort of wearing leather, but I can say heartily that the feelings only grow!
I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, which is blessed with a climate that few believe is compatible with year round leathers, much less heavy rubber! But, my friend, all it takes is a little bit of attitude adjustment, and sometimes a great deal of sweat! In the following pages, you'll get to explore many of my avenues of interests and enthusiasms. I hope you enjoy your visit!

Well, it's almost Hallowe'en, and things have been pretty quiet here. While I didn't wear a mask, I was certainly the most colorfully costumed at the non-costume party! So they've never seen a Green Rubber Frog in Chains, can I help that??

But, later in the weekend, something came over me, I developed this strange scent of latex in my nostrils, my breathing got labored, and I remember little of what transpired. A friend provided me with the photos shown below, of the ensuing spectacle!

There was Harold before Leather!! It all began very innocently when I grew a beard while on a trip to England in Spring, 1970. Then the weather turned suddenly warm, and I shaved it off.

Bear witness to the beginning of a leather revolution (and a lawnmower):

Marvelous NonCombative Mud
Mostly Men in Heavenly Mud and Close Holds!

It was a rather cool afternoon when Al and I went out to the borrow pit, destination Muddy Photo Shoot Number One. Al kept a clean camera finger, but yours truly got down and muddy!

When the photo finisher returned the prints, he said "We've been spelunking, eh?"
"Sure thing," I said with a grin.
