I'm pretty sure this isn't normal. When I play a map on the FHI gametype, the monsters will attack only with range, and only attack with melee when I get closer. It's like they're incapable of moving. Rooted to the ground. Things that seem like they should fly are firmly stuck into the ground. Um. Hehe any ideas?

Think about this seriously for a sec, if every monster in the new fraghouse invasion actively seeked out and attacked players how long do you think you would last
its best left as it is :)

England baby!

That's actually pretty weird. Have you tried altering the difficulty level of the bots? (It says it's for bots, but for Invasion it alters the difficulty of the monsters)

At very low levels they'll act like they're - excuse the term - completely braindead.

Huh, I was gonna say I never had that prob, but I guess, like Parser said, it had to do with the difficulty--I always have it set at an intermediate level--god, FHI can be a pain in the arce sometimes...but it's still very fun.
