Wouldn't it be nice if it would say who you killed or who you got killed by? It should be pretty simple, but I'm only 14, so what do I know anyway...

yeah, that's a good point, but it still says who gets out though. I guess If you took out EVERYTHING that was unrealistic, it wouldn't be fun.

Yeah but in real-life once you die you don't come back next round either :)

Still, I do get your point. Maybe it would be nice to only broadcast the "who killed you message" to the person that was killed. i.e. a private message for your piece of mind :)

Predator, you said, "yeah, that's a good point, but it still says who gets out though."

You only see a message that someone dies when it's your teammate, not the opposing team. That's realistic enough, as if you have reasonably good communication in a small unit, you could keep fairly good tabs on who in your unit has been hit. You would have no idea who is dying on the other team, or who from the other team has shot you. He's just a nameless face.

That said, and though I value realism and am therefore OK with the change, I do miss the ability to know who killed you, and who you killed, when you DO know the peeps on the other side. In some ways it added a component of competitiveness that was fun, especially with voice communication ("Oh, you @@@hole, you tagged me again...").

It's all a trade-off, and no one is going to have it 100% the way he wants it.

Yeah, it sort of would be a tradeoff I guess, and besides, i didn't even know that It only displayed who got killed on your own team, I thought it showed both, shows how attentive I am :p hehe

I agree, It would be useful to know when there's a teamkiller problem.... whether it's a newbie that needs some help or a turkey trying to ruin the game play.

Indiana. Kill me please.
This shouldn't be displayed. If you can see who you killed, you would automatically know when someone died. That means you could just throw a grenade in a room and know if you killed someone. And if someone tried to feign death when shot, you would know.

Heres my take on the issue:

*************************************************
-When you are killed, the name of the player that killed you is displayed, along with the weapon he used. This is displayed ONLY TO YOU, and not your teammates

NOTE: When killed by a team member, the death message will be displayed to you, and the rest of your team.

-Messages should be displayed to let you know when, and how a teammate was been eliminated from the round. They would be in the for of:

-PlayerX has Disconnected
-PlayerX has commited suicide (used suicide command)
-PlayerX killed himself (fell/blew up)
-PlayerX has been killed (by an enemy)
-PlayerX has been killed by PlayerY (Displayed when someone on your team is killed by a teammate. PlayerY is the team killer)

-When a member of the opposing team dies, your team is not notified.

I strongly disagree, even though perhaps a message only when TK'd wouldn't be much of a problem. However showing who killed you and with what is a bad idea, especially when people are using voice programs.
The entire suspense comes from the fact that you don't nescesarilly know who is around the corner and what he is armed with.

Or you could have a "sum up" when the round was finished that would show you who killed whom?
That be great as it wouldn't screw anything up in-game.

YES!!!

Sum up each round by showing who killed who. Theres not a problem with that Fur?

Fur, do you agree with the bit about showing more info on how Teammates have left the round?

Only teamkills

As above I guess.

If I kill or am killed by a team member I wanna know about it. It would be good to know who keeps ruining your game.

That which does not kill us, only makes us stronger.

I honestly don't see any need at all to display who killed you or who you killed. In real battle, you often never know who you killed (nor should you care).

As for people killing you, again I don't see a need to know. You got shot and died. Who cares by whom. And definately don't list the weapon used. That's just completely unrealistic.
