Goat Fucker, I'd believe it. Paul Bernardo, a very (in)famous serial rapist/killer here in Canada. Raped, tortured, and killed at least 16 young girls with his wife a while back. He videotaped it, for Christ's sake. Anyways, he has a wing of Kingston Penn to himself. He has his own entertainment system to himself, excercise time to himself. He has special fucking razors so he doesn't cut himself while he's shaving. This goes beyond standard protective custody. Our tax dollars are being pumped into this man to keep him alive. The same man who's own dollars were invested in keeping our young women in pain or dead. There is something seriously wrong with that. There are plenty of people who have a scoped rifle sitting around just to drop this fucker faster than a murder weapon if he ever steps outside those gates.

1) Sometimes killing people isn't murder, its just an issue of survival. Which is what most killings are.

2) You're technically not murdering anybody if the person can only be classified as a human being by RNA sequence.

In my mind, theire can be no forgivnes for rapists. Its better to kill someone, then to rape them!!!!
And i think killing a raper, has everything to do with survival. Once a rapist, allways a rapist!
After doing "time", thei may try to stop, but the risk is allways there.
And the rapei´s, will never leve a normal life, all chaces of that is dead.
So killing a raper, insures that no other´s risks "LOOSING" their soul.

Im NOT encuriging anyone to do this, but if they did, i´d not loose any sleep.

It pisses me off when I think about it. A portion of my tax dollars goes into preserving the lives of rappists, murderers, and the general scum of the earth. I'm not saying that prison is a walk in the park but, in all honesty, it's not the disciplinary institution that it's supposed to be. If you can build up a bad-ass reputation and get to the top of the pecking order then you really don't have too much to worry about. You get a free room, free food, free exercise, free entertainment, free education, and anything else you need to survive. I have to pay for all these things, and I didn't commit any crimes. Prison really isn't the punishment that it should be. If it was, then criminals wouldn't be so eager to repeat their crimes once they get out.

I've got mixed feelings about the death penalty. On one hand, killing them makes you no better than a murderer. On the other hand, if they're a threat to human society, then why should we preserve them? However, the threat of the death penalty might not deter criminals from commiting crimes. No one commits a crime with the intention of getting caught. I have to side with Bad.Mojo. A man who killed 16 young girls shouldn't have an entertainment center. If not the death penalty, we should at least stick them in a confined dark cell with no windows and nothing to do but think about what they did to deserve it. As it is now, prison is almost a reward.

"On one hand, killing them makes you no better than a murderer."

That's the part I disagree with. There are some acceptable ways to kill, IMHO. If somebody breaks into my house and comes at me with a knife, and I shoot him dead, does that make me no better than a murderer? That's what we, as a society do with the death sentance- not only do we prevent that person from killing (which even the most well guarded prison cannot do with 100% certainty), we also get the neat little side effect of scaring other would-be criminals.

"No one commits a crime with the intention of getting caught."

Well, like you said, you never committed any crime, so no offense but I don't think you would know that for sure. I think criminals (especially first time criminals) probably have ALOT of thoughts running through their minds when they are about to commit a crime. I would not be surprised one bit if fear was one of the main thoughts.

All criminals everywhere tell somebody about their crime. A priest, a therapist, a loved one, family, friend, it doesn't matter. Nobody commits a crime for the sake of the crime itself. They get off on it, and they want other people to get off on them.

Now this is true, and its not.

When u comit a crime, huge amounts of adrenelin rushes fruw youre body. this set´s itself as trauma in youre uncontius mind. And as with all trauma, u have to talk it out of yore system.
And how many of u guys can honestly say, that u havent experienced this for youre selfes.
If u havent comitted any serious crimes, then what about when u were a kid, and smoked on dad´s pipe, bended a street sighn, or scrached a car with youre keys.
Dident u need to tell someone? /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

But then again, there are the phcyco´s that only do it for kicks, or atention.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. Its not true that all criminals divulge their secrets, but they're usually lunatics (John Wayne Gayce (sp?), David Berkowitz, Geoffrey Dahmer)... genuine insanity cases. Not pure evil, just pure psychosis.
