I cant seem to get anywhere with this link to Frankfurt-Main airport. I'm struggling to find time to work all this out at the moment, what with exams and stuff, so could someone else please look around the budget airlines and see whether they fly from London-Gatwick, London-Heathrow, preferably not London-Standstead, or even Southampton airport. :)

Zed ma boy, No cheap flights go there :(
The cheapest is BAA £42 (return) from Gatwick. OR ! you could go by Air france...first class... £215... :hmm:
Its worth landing close to the Lan, but i dont know your budget.

Depart : 13 Aug 07:45 from London [LGW] - non stop / 01h 45m
Arrive : 13 Aug 10:30 to Frankfurt Main [FRA]
Depart : 15 Aug 17:15 from Frankfurt Main [FRA] - non stop / 01h 40m
Arrive : 15 Aug 17:55 to London City Airport [LCY]

By the way... according to Yahoo Travel, returning to Gatwick will cost us £191  but London city isnt too hard to get out of :D Just....hide our laptops as much as possbile :hmm:

I've been talking to my parents about this, and mum seems fine with it, dad didn't pay attention, and they say they'll fund the flight for me with AirMiles. These flights just happen to be part of the AirMiles scheme thing, and so they'll sacrifice a few AirMiles for me. So, Trueblood, it looks like we're on the same flight! :D Maybe we could even play a few games of Jailbreak in the departure lounge. :p

I'll be driving to Gatwick, so I'll be parking the car there for the 3 days. That'll cost around £25, and apparently its easy to get from London City to Gatwick, via the "Gatwick Express"... standard journey time: 1 hour. Hmm... "Express"... :hmm:

And on June 29th (my last day of exams), the very first day that Dell have their "Double RAM upgrade" offer, I'll be placing an order. Even though its a laptop, it should pwn UT2004. :D

OK, is anyone able to give me a clear breakdown of how the other prices work out? As far as I can understand, its €7.50 per night, and since its 2 nights that totals €15. And this €100 for electricity etc, assuming 25 people turn up, thats €4 each, so a total of €19 per person. I think the conversion rate from € to £ is 1.6, so that totals £30.40. Is this right? Have I missed something, or is my exchange rate wrong?

Looking forward to this. :D

The current exchange rate from € to £ is 1.513, to be precise, so €30 = £45.39. For my budget, thats ok. Much more is pushing it though :(

Hehe, Deathmatch in the lounge is fine by me Trueblood. I quite like a bit of Domination here-n-there too. :p UT would probably be better than UT2004... the lower graphics requirements would mean longer battery! Don't forget to charge it up though.

Exchange rates doesn't feature in A-Level Mathematics ;)

Trueblood, my flights are the ones which you posted above, so yeah, depart Friday morning, return Sunday late afternoon. Same flight, same departure lounge, same terminal.

With regards to money, I'll just use my card out there at cash points when I need it.

OK, we're getting nearer the JELP 2004. :)

One thing... me and Trueblood, the only Brits coming to this event, have both conveniently chosen the same flight which arrives at Frankfurt-Main airport at about 10:30am-11:00am on Friday 13th. Is it possible for a very friendly Jailbreaker to collect us from the airport and take us to the house? Could they also return us to the same airport on Sunday 15th for 4:00pm, thereabots?

Its a good thing we didn't chose to go to Frankfurt-Hahn airport ;)

Secondly, what exactly do we need to bring, in terms of everything, from food & drink, to harware? Also, whats the LAN network going to be like? Do we all need to bring a network wire with us? Does the network support wireless access? My laptop has a wireless network module and a Bluetooth module in it... is there any way they can be used to set this thing up?

Hehe @ lots of questions.

Lookin foward to it though :D

Yes and we cant wait to see this perfect machine
haha ;)
Yeah, a lift would be great. I have no idea how much a taxi would cost getting to the house *thunder and lightning sounds*
Drink is no prob, bring afew bottles of something or drink from the tap :) but if the weather is good enough for a BBQ :) we should bring some Brittish sausages \o/ (although, i remember sexmachines comment on English food on the last lan thread  )
I dont want to live off crisps and stuff so we`ll have to find something.
*note that cookies doesnt count as "stuff" :D

Please try to bring a network wire with you, wireless is not an option.
We will organize the food and drink for everybody, you just have to pay for it later :) Maybe we can have a barbeque on saturday but please, Trueblood, leave the english sausages at home. ;)
So far Sexmachine and I don´t know if we have to work on friday. I ´ll talk to the other Germans (Tiefflieger, Beabomber, DarthCampi) and try to find someone who will collect you both from the airport.
Otherwise you have to go by train (rmv) to Gelnhausen (this is near Lützel). It takes you about an hour from the airport and costs 6 € per person. http://www.rmv.de

We don´t know exactly how many tables we have so far. But a table for 6 persons sounds good to me. Scopetrigger already told me about it and I´ll inform you as soon as possible if we need it .
ZedMaestro, we need all network wires, so bring the 3 metres with you. Thank you all for your help! :)
