No rain for the barbeque please :(

Just a little reminder:

There are no head pillows on the beds, so take one with you.
And don´t forget the other things:

- costs for the house (sleeping, electricity, cleaning) + drinks + breakfast + barbeque will be around 60 € per person.
- we can go there on friday at 5.00 p.m.
- don´t forget your slepping bag + cushions, towels, pillows for the chairs (they don´t look very comfortable), a network wire and some sockets
- an ashtray for the smokers
- the address: Landheim der Karmeliterschule, Hufeisenstr. 4, 63599 Biebergemünd-Lützel

See you tomorrow! :flak:

I'm full of only one thing: hatred. And envy. Okay, two things. Hatred and envy. And anger. Fine, three things. I'm full of three things: hatred, envy, anger. And jealousy. Urgh. Can we start again?

Phew, I'm safely back home... got back at 11pm, and the journey wasnt "eventless", lets say...

The train journey to the first Frankfurt station was fine, no problems, but then it started to go wrong. We looked for the "Green S" for the S..... (whatever it is), and went down the escalator where we had to work out whether we needed the left or the right set of 2 platforms. We chose the right, and it turned out to be correct. There were a few flaws, in many different areas:
  • Not all the trains run on Sundays, noteably the ones that we needed to get to the Airport. Our notes told us to catch an "S9" train... they dont run on Sundays.
  • The track numbers were confusing. We were around the "gleiss 101 to 104" area, but the trains to the airport were on track /\21. Huh? We couldnt find a track with that symbol (meant to be a triangle) and number.
  • The trains were a little late, according to the station clocks.
  • The first security guy we asked for help wasnt very good with english.

However, the next load of 10 security guys turned up and pointed us to the next "S8" train, from platform 103. We were meant to catch a 15:31 train, but instead we got a late 16:17 train, and we got to the terminal at 16:35. After checkin, which was relatively simple, we went up to security and had our laptops scanned. Firstly, the guy "cleaned" the top of the laptops with what looked like a common kitchen towel, and then he put the towel under a little grate. Then he got out a machine that was a cross between a vacuum cleaner and a circular saw machine, complete with lights. He rubbed the machine over the top of the laptops, then rubbed the kitchen towel under the grate with the machine. Finally, he put the machine in a slot in a bigger machine, and let us through.
And we got to the plane at around 5pm... just in time for departure at 5:15pm (we werent last onboard though!). The plane got back to London City 20mins early too. :) Once there, we took a bus to the tube station, had to board an overcrowded train to get to the main station (forced our way on!), and went our separate ways at London: Victoria station.

But anyways, its nice to be home, and I'm home in one piece. It was a great weekend, nice people, nice atmosphere, although I think I pissed off a few people on the first night though... >:-D
My modem awaits!

Oh, and by the way, you remember that little tourament we had... we were by far the best team :p

wunderbar !

Lol Zed, Yeah the trains would have been better if not a Sunday, but we got through :) Going up and down stairs with heavy bags and worrying about getting on the right platform and wondering if we`ll catch the plane was tough :hmm:
Thanks to Sexmachine and Angie for finding lutzel and a special thanks to you for helping us get there :D

Hands up...who got lost finding and getting out of Lutzel? \o/
Coming to the next one is questionable....traveling too much takes alot out of me. Flying on Friday 13th through storm clouds with heavy turbulence was harsh but we`ll see.
How much food did you have left? i said it was too much didnt I ! :) aahh well.
